Bard Full Int Primary, Sub Wizard or Warlock?

Post by CHIPS »

I am making a primary full int Bard for fun. She will be plvled by my primary character on a different account. SP will not be a problem. Basically every Bard skill will be maxed, including the bard nukes, Noise, Moving Match, Guard Tambour, Hit Match, etc.

So the question is, what sub should I pick. Warrior and Rogue are out of the question, since I will be full int. So that leaves me with Cleric, Wizard and Warlock. I will not be going cleric because my primary character is already a cleric/rogue. So that leaves me with Wizard or Warlock.

With wizard, I will be rotating between wizard nukes and bard 's fast nuke. For support, I will have teleport and invisible.

With warlock, I will be hexing DoT spells with bard 's fast nuke. For support, I will have stun, sleep, etc.

Right now I am indifferent between these two subs. Which one do you guys think will be more useful? Thanks in advance. :D

With Warlock, as well as supporting your allies, you can debuff the opponent. I chose Warlock because I find that Warlock+Bard nukes give you a good amount if you take both, and it'll give you both buffing and de-buffing, which is always useful. I am not against taking Wizard, but it would be just tons of trouble with the spells and buffs.

warlock ur gunna need some way to heal while ur waiting for pots so u can leech. Also, now that i think about it it would be pretty ownage because u would cast vampire touch first to inflict disease status so ur debufs wont fail, then stun, then debuff, DoT, switch back to bard and because bard nukes do more damage than warlock nukes ( im petty sure) u will own. Then u can leech when needed too.

Well, if you're group PvPing, then there SHOULD be a Cleric there to heal you with regular heals and Recovery Division.

Warlock would be a very good combination!

U can buff your party with bard.. switch to warlock and de-buff ...

buffer/debuffer build... and with warlock sub u can wear light armor to improve defense!

Wizard would be good if u plan to solo .... but... this is a mMorpg... not a massive Soloing online rpg...

I suggest not listening to them, original poster whos name I have forgotten. For a PRIMARY Bard you are going to want to do Warlock out of your choices but at best Cleric because if you switch to debuff your Bard buffs will cancel. Personally I've heard, and seen, that the Bard/Cleric build works good. Although grinding is definately hard because I've personally tried it and after 20 it just seem like it's not worth it[But I decided not to take Booming Chord because I wanted to spend 0 MP in PvE]. Also, If you are going to make a Bard you have to make sure you can at least find a Wizard/Bard that fully farmed its Bard buffs also or you might as well make a Wizard/Bard.

After some thinking, I have decided to go wizard sub. The reason is because Warlock specialize in stun, and my rogue 's KB/KB is already similar to that. Also, wizard have some fun spells to play around with too.

Thanks for the help all. :D
