spear nuker

I've looked at a lot of guides and threads on spear nuker, but im still having a hard time deciding what to do; I think I want to go pure int for max damage and max snow shield use, but im not sure what my build should be. The 2 builds im having a hard time deciding between are 90 spear/ 90 light/ 90 ice/ 30 fire for max damage and snow shield use, but i will loose some magical protection, phy damage increase, and status immunity. The second build im am considering is 90 spear/ 90 fire/ 90 light/ 30 ice for good damage but i will miss out on snow shield and phy defense buffs. It would also be helpful if u could list some of the skills i should use. Thanks

I hear ya! I'm really stuck between those two builds aswell...the fire nukes are soo cool

Even though I'm hybrid spear (with about a 86-88% mag balance, I have chosen to take cold over fire. With the extra +100 def for the passive I think it is well worth it over the amazing nukes of fire. Plus, cold gets a new AoE nuke that looks pretty "cool" too!

Hahaha! Get it, cold, "cool"! Okay..it's not very punny...but overall I say you should take cold, it will decrease the amount of times you die in PvE and PvP

If your going spear, you should get cold for sure.
If your worried about missing out on magic defense buff, you should consider wearing garms.
With good garms+cold buffs and etc you should tank well enough.

After looking at this thread, most builds dont use high level snow shield, and many have the fire/lightning nukes over ice. I know weapon skills are a must...but I just can't pick fire or ice

what about 90 spear/ 90 light/ 60 fire/ 60 ice? And if i went s/s would that change my lvl of fire and ice?

That means that the fire nukes ain't effective, compared to the lightning nukes. So that's very crappy. You're gonna have to make a choice.

As for the 90 cap with s/s I think you'll be fine with 90 bicheon, 90 lightning, 90 fire and 30 cold. Only problem is, what are you gonna do at the 100 cap (even though that could take 2 years)...

Hmm...I was making a 90 bicheon/90 lightning/90 fire and 30 cold pure int s/s...but then Europe came...Now I'm a rogue, but I still miss the fact of going into a fight and survive

I'd say 90 heuksal/90 ice/90 light/ 30 fire you should have fire at 30 already for when your level 30...

Lightning nukes > fire nukes maxed... so I'd go 90 heuksal/90 light/90 cold/30 fire or force

Bicheon: 90 fire, 90 lightning, 30 ice, 90 bicheon
Heuksal: 90 lightning, 90 ice, 30 fire, 90 heuksal

why do u guys keep spending the last 30 masteries you're gonna have to delvl it again anyway and the 30 point won't do much anyway

So...would it be a good idea to use spear for PvE and some PvP (with 90 hueksal, 90 light, 90 fire, 30 cold) and for job wars/fortress battles use s/s with JUST nukes? I mean, spear users do get some extra HP...

I think I will take the fire over Ice. I mean it really just depends on preference. I really don't like to PvP 1v1, I'd rather Party vs Party, so naturally some clerics will be buffing. Snow shield is nice, so is the defense, but if this build doesnt work out for me I can always de-level things. It sounds like most ints are dropping fire for ice, being different can't hurt :roll:

s/s keeps sounding better and better. first, they hav shield (duh) and their gunna hav 90 fire! with fire better phy damage ( kd+ 4 stab!) better mag protection, status immunity, and the fire imbue. so what if they only hav 30 ice thats enough for some snow shield and phy defense increase. The only thing im worried about is what to do for 100 cap with s/s (if I play that long). If anybody can tell me the benefit of spear over s/s then plz do.

Well spear has higher attack damage and the HP passive... I think it's +3K HP or more

One thing that i'm going to do once i get Spear Dlvled is just keep my sos+5 with me while grinding and just use S/S for PVP/Jobs/Fortress etc....

I only have 1 str point in my build :banghead:

But i know a few guys who do the same thing, spear for grinding, s/s for pvp b/c of extra defense

Well I have an 85% mag balance at lvl 30...I dont know if that will work too well
