Glavie/Bow force char for 90 cap

Post by Shoe »

Hi

Well basically im making a character planned for 90 cap, it will be pure str with force mastery and either fire or light (havn't decided yet).

I am confused as to wether I should have bow or glavie as my weapon, I have always liked the idea of having a bow char because of the range but I hear from some people that it can be weak and often depends on the gear alot. I also hear that glavier is good at every cap and does not rely on the quality of gear so much.

If I go bow I will probaly have 90 bow/light/force
If I go glavier I will have 90 heusk/fire/force

So basically I am asking wether bow or glavie is better to have with this build, when I look at ksro most players are glaviers and you very rarely see bowmen or bladers.

All advice appreciated.

Look dude, if you plan on making a char, why bother wasting sp on force?
Clerics get pwrlvld and do the same thing, but better.

Now tht is cleared, about the build. I'm lvl 80 and have a str hybrid bow and i wear protector
Pach-Fire(imbue)-lightning----80
Ice 60

Cap 90: pach-fire-light---90
30 ice

it's a good unique hunting bow, full str too, you have speed, mag att, fys and mag def increase.
Full str bow can wear garment, so you'll get 20% speed and mp reduce bonus, so no need for force

plz don't waste time on force, it's no good

Grtz

P.S. i don't know anything about glavies
Sig.

lol, the sp isn't wasted on force but I have changed my mind because of another reason.

I was taking force because it can do things a cleric cannot (as far as I know), with the chinese force tree you have the debuffs - vital spot attack series. If you have seen these being used correctly at 80/90cap the effects are insane! They reduce the oppoments defence majorly and some even take of the equivelent of 1/2 pieces of prot.

Though as I said I have decided not to take the force mastery because I believe that soon there will be alot of high level clerics soon and with their holy word series or w/e players will become immune-ish to these force skills meaning they will not be effective sometimes.
