1) the sun isnt the center of our solar system... its a black hole =_=;
2) atm there are stars in our solar system that are EVEN BIGGER than the sun that have twice the power =\ *AHEM SIRIUS*

3) Planet X is a rumor of a celestial object that would come in contact with the sun and would have such a great atomic mass and gravational pull that it would be able to consume the sun and end the milky way... but can it rly consume a BLACK HOLE? Think about the life of a star.... by the time the sun reaches even the first giant stage of star... it will have already ingulfed mercury and getting very close to venus... now due to this the temperature on earth will have already increased by so much that it would evaporate all of our oceans...disrupt our magnetic forces...disrupt our gravity... so that life on earth would be unsuitable for life...By the time it would be reaching supergiant... it will have engulfed...mercury, venus, the earth..OH NOES...,mars, ceres and MAYBE even jupiter... by then saturn would prolly just be rly f'd up and due to an increase in gravational pull would probably to sucked into the sun due to its VERY LOW gravational influence and small density. Uranus and Neptune would evaporate and become to new saturn\jupiter...and pluto and eris would probably melt and possibly be the new earth. During this ... many other atomic masses would now be pulled into the suns orbit making new planets for the sun. Then when it hits hyper giant... then yea... all of the current planets and dwarf planets that we are aware of know will be PWNZ0RED BY NATURE :O.

Pole shifting, only thing that can come out of that is an update in timezones... Last time they naturally shifted was in the Precambrian time period 800 million years ago.. and it took 20 million years for the north pole to shift 50°. No catastrophe there.

On the other hand there could be an asteroid hitting Earth or other stellar objects that could shift the Earths axis of rotation... so the catastrophes wouldn't really be caused by the shift, but by the cause of shifting...
