Applying Elixirs to higher lvl weapons.

Hello.

I bought a lvl 64 spear which is +2. Curently i am lvl 63. Is there any disadvantages in trying to put elixirs on a weapon that is higher level than your character is? would it be more difficult?

Your level in contrast to the weapon's level has no revelance to the performance elixirs transpire to that weapon.
