Rogue / Cleric

Post by Corvix »

Hey, I decided to get to work on a Rogue/Cleric build. Any suggestions on skills for both classes?

I am going to be using dual daggers.

I can't believe people are too lazy to read what the original poster said.

I asked for a Rogue/Cleric build, not a Rogue only build. There is nowhere in that sticky where it says what sort of Cleric skills I should use.

Okay. My apologies.

As for SP farming. What do you suggest I do?

SP farming is purely a matter of opinion. I choose dagger as my main and didn't really but points into Xbow till lvl 52 which is when i farmed alot of my SP and brought my Xbow and Cleric skillz up to my main lvl...

If you really want t plan out your farming look at the stickies..they have guides for that too....

I think I am going to stick purely with Dagger. I don't really like ranged. Thanks for the help though mate.

IMO it's better to go for both, as there will be situations where either one will have a greater advantage over the other

If you were to get one weapon only, crossbow would still be recommended. Daggers, obviously, are close range and with their Dagger Desperate on they will die insanely fast from party mobs with their -75% defense. Even regular mobs hit for a bunch with the suicide buff on. They train slower overall. Crossbow is optimal if you want only one weapon because it does more damage until 40 (and even after 40 still does a respectable amount) and it can knockback + knockdown. It's not impossible to grind with daggers but it will be much harder.

If you want to choose between daggers and Xbow b4 farming its basically this...If you plan on doing alot of PvP jobs and other fun stuff choose dagger initially....If you want to lvl as quickly as possible choose Xbow.....with a cleric sub after you get recovery division you'll have an easier time grinding with daggers....but overall if your grinding with a party it won''t matter which one you have you'll lvl fast if you want to lvl solo your better off with Xbow

Xbow=Lvl fast, best for solo grind
Daggers= Great for PvP

I was recently told that Cleric buffs only work while you have the Rod equipped. So they like cancel as soon as you take off the rod.

Well, I am level 10 atm, with a 10 gap. I have been using my other account to farm the rogue heaps of SP.

Now, just a question. I don't want to SP farm my entire life, so how long would suggest I farm before I start to actually play the game?

@nitroz farming with a euro is same as farming with a chinese you just have to stick with mobs your lvl or lower instead of higher lvl if your dagger...if your farming with xbow it shouldn't really matter

@corvix max gap is 9 after that you don't get an SP increase...use the character planners in the sticked section to plan out what skills you want by what level and then farm accordingly...after you farm what you want then level up and if you need more sp plan out when you want to farm that latter on....few ppl actually farm there whole build at once...
