Well as a thief, try to predict the direction a trade will go, and place a mine around there, if they dont walk into themselves you can always hit one of them and lure another *or the same if hes higher than you*.
Just invis + fire nuke + cleric buff yourself and own anything else.

Any experienced hunter wizards or thief wizards please answer these questions below:
- What do you prefer as job for a wizard char: hunter or thief?
- What strategies do you use as hunter? <experienced wizard hunter>
- What strategies do you use as thief? <experienced wizard thief>
- How exactly does the trick with the mule work (you invisible, mule standing still in the middle of the road, enlighten me )
- When jobbing, what characters are your worst enemy and should be avoided at all time / cost?
- Any more relevant comments are welcomed!
Thanks
I'm a lvl 78 wizard thief and I feel that thiefing is the best way to go for a wizard. when your in an 8 person party everone lets you know where the traders are, when you get close to them go invisible, wait for the traders spawn to come out to occupy the hunters and then start 1-2 hitting them all, have the other thiefs pick up the goods (as long as you trust them not to leave the party) and go invisible again, let the other thiefs kill there own spawns and you stay invisible watching for the hunters to come back, but make sure the other thiefs hide in a back corner somewhere. it really pisses off the hunters, last night we got a 5 star with 2 lvl 80 hunters and I must have killed the hunters 15 times each since they were using reverse return scrolls, but right after I killed them I went invisible again.
i allready tried the 3 jobs for my own experience:
trader: i was trader at the begining till lvl 50 +/- , yes its good to make money but boring aswell, if you do a big trader with hunters you will spend 1 hour or more just potting not exactly my meaning of fun.
Hunter: similiar to trader just is less money you earn by finishing the trades but if you do a good amount of them your weekly contribution well be nice like 10m or more gold. the bad point is...you spend hours killing npc's the only real action you have is when you encounter real thiefs but of course the trades try to avoid that situations cause they just want to take the profit without problems compreensive of course.
Thief: im thief since lvl 74, was the best choice i made. you dont get much gold its true, but its funny and thrilling as hell, its like a constant pvp and a fight to ruin someones trade, you can thief solo however as a wizzard is almost impossible to robbe a big trade and protect a ox from hunters npc's when you robbe 5*.
in my opinion thief is the funniest job of the 3 but the one which you will make less profit in gold, with wizz/cleric if your cleric is high lvl you can survive +/- when atacking big trades in another build pure ints will have some problems.
Builds to avoid: well theres not a really '' build to avoid '' once your high lvl, just a few players with good equipment and who really knows how to play, but maybe pure str's chinas with snow shield are the hardest ones to take down. atacking a trade with life control/turnover on is almost like suicide cause you will take some hits for sure so you need the most HP you can have, without life control/turnover you cant kill a str with 1 nuke so its up to you examine the trade first and choose what to do, when, which one kill first.
Wizzard have a few good skills that will help when fighting, fear, invisible, kb, root, teleport just need to know how to use them.

First, thanks Aryss, do you use any of the techniques soulreapr uses?
Second, i've thought about this;

Is it possible to cast fire/lava trap (it's called something like that, it's some sort of circle bomb that goes off if someone walks in it ) on the place the hunters died, so if they use reverse return scrolls they get killed again? (Or cast 1 nuke to finish the job).

Heheh ... It should be .... its very smart thing to do tho
you can try it, but a good hunter/trader will not stay stopped when teleported, so they will just pass throw the trap with the 5 seconds of protection they have, the best choiice is nuke as soon as possible.
normally i use traps on bridges or vital points where the trades must go.
i cant tell my tactics cause my head is wanted on Hercules im sry lol

you could as long as the hunters doesnt move for that 5 seconds when he is untouchable, but its just as easy to meteor him and kill him again, I dont use lava traps very often, I just use invisible and hit then right when the get a spawn so 90% of the time they dont even know i'm owning the party till they're all dead
