Yep i just started randomly getting it 5-10 second delay in moving surfing is fine speed tests are fine just silkroad website is somewhat slow as well.
P.S. On Comcast Business Cable, Michigan. US EAST Coast... So might be a routing problem since i spoke to people in silkroad random people were getting it not everyone.

Same thing
Yeah it's been really annoying sometimes, for me anyway, where it talks about the updates it wont show up at all (usually followed by the missing Start button) hopefully they get to it when they have to do the server inspection next week

Might be like that overnight this has happened before sometimes it can be an overnight thing sometimes it can be a few days to a week.
This has happened to me before long time ago so who knows i mean to never lag ever and we connect to the Servers located in Korea. I think we have had good luck but tonight 5-10 second delay on moving yuck just wait it out and see what happens.

Can some people post traceroutes that have lag and that are not? Go to start run type cmd. Once the black window opens up type tracert silkroadonline.net
Here is mine starting at hop 5
It looks like there is a network issue across the sea. If you look at the traceroute it hits Vancouver BC, then its last hop before crossing the ocean is Seattle WA. Once it gets across the ocean I believe its handled by Korea Telecom, which is WELL KNOWN for it's routing and network outages.

A ping from my machine to the hop where latency doubles shows:
This definitely looks to me like an outage or routing issue at Korea Telecom.
Ping statistics for 220.73.154.93:
Packets: Sent = 70, Received = 61, Lost = 9 (12% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 420ms, Maximum = 461ms, Average = 444ms
This definitely looks to me like an outage or routing issue at Korea Telecom.

Booo CoMcAsT!
Oddly enough for once it's not Comcast's fault! I'm all using Comcast in Chicago and have gotten horrible lag all day. Here's a log of a trace route to their website.

Same problem here. Started late last night and is still going on. You know, that wonderful kind of lag, when you have 18k+ HP and you get to watch mobs do 700s to you until you die, because you can't do shit, not even pot. Anyway, I stopped grinding because of it. I'm in Ohio btw. Also, trace routes aren't always reliable. I've pinged the official site and the launcher site last week when I couldn't get the site (or launcher Start) to load. Timed out on 14th hop. Then again about 4 days ago when everything was running smooth; again timed out on 14th hop. It seems that some routers block trace routes so yea (try pinging srf -- you'll time out on the 17th hop). Anyway, I'm sure it is a router problem (again, just like last week)... They really need to, at the very least, stabalize their shit before they go adding more and more servers.
Edit: Your hop # might be different than mine

Traceroutes can be unreliable if the router blocks ICMP packets, or the router sets ICMP messages on a lower priority using Quality of Service.
Joymax blocks ICMP. The traceroute to Joymax shows latency and packet loss.
