Now that the new email verifacation is in, I guess it will help securitise my account. Now, I know that there was major problems with the exploit that Rev6 released.
I have already verified my account with my email address.
My ID is the same as my character name, so what is the best way to securitise my account? Also is it possible to change my email address after I have verified it?

The best way for you is to not reveal your charachter name on forums. At least that way nobody will know your username. Last I checked, you couldnt change your verified email address (unless JM decides to change this, which I doubt).
Just be aware of future exploits, and act accordingly. Eg. regularly changing your password, or if you have access to another open client, you could move your stuff to another char etc.

People knowing your user name does not make your account all that insecure unless joymax ..... up again.
Don't download anything to your computer that you don't have to. For example someone in vent, instant messenger, etc. wants you to see a picture. Have him post it on image sharing site. Dont download it. don't share programs. Virus scanners recognize viruses they won't see a program that copies information and then emails it to the person stealing it.
Yes virus type programs can be hiding in just about any kind of file even pictures.
Make sure your password is strong using numbers and letters to make brute force nearly impossible.
Always have a second account and a way to transfer your gear etc to another character that no one knows about. Do that when there are rumors about hacking. REV6 didn't start the hacking, there were rumors already circulating. They just proved the rumors true.
I don't understand why people recommend changing passwords on a regular bases. If you have a strong password that no one knows about then how would changing it make things more secure?
You can also change your keyboard layout, that confuses most keyloggers, or use an on screen keyboard.
Im sure I am forgetting stuff, but that is already more then I actually do to protect my account.
