depends if its traditional(used in Taiwan, HongKong, Macau) or simplified Chinese(used in China and most of other countries eg. singapore)
Traditional Chinese characters hv uber lots of strokes
i'm Chinese, i can read both simplified and traditional but can only write simplified(traditional char is wayyyy too hard) and i took Korean lvl 1 and was like "wow"
Korean characters are so hard to write lol, but traditional Chinese character is a challenge to any new learners too
at least i know a few phrases, "haneo ha sai yoz" means hello
"chalang hey yorz" means i love u
"come some ha me dai" means thank u
