Switching Jobs

So I was a trader and now I wanna thief. Now I have to wait 7 days in order to join the thief guild. Well its been 7 days but I still can't join. Do I have to wait till the specific time I left the trade guild first and then join?

You have to wait exacly 7 days, like to the second.
