Full Int Question - Yes I did a search

Post by Magister »

Howdy,

Had a question about a full INT build...

(Fire / Lightning)

I read quite a few posts but there were some specific questions I didn't really find out about nukers that are still lingering in my mind.

1. What skills should I train first? and how far should I level up them?

2. I know the spear is more dmg for magic .. but I wanted to wear garments, so I figured I would go sword and shield. I was wondering how much that would hurt my leveling pace vs leveling with the spear. I figure it's sorta a draw since I won't use up so much healing items or sit as much.

3. At what point should I try to farm SP? I was thinking once I hit lv8 and upgrade my weapon to farm up at the chi'in tomb ... but until what level? I can't see the mobs levels in comparison to my own so I am unsure exactly how long I should farm in and in what spots.

4. Weapon Skills .. when I should I train these? and should I bother training any of the shield skills (since I was planning on going with the shield anyways..) I know I get 300pts total to spend, and I understand I am going full INT so fire / lightning is going to be my dmg dishing areas ... but there was some passives I will need in weapon skills no?

5. Finally ... Money ... everything costs such an insane amount esp. those star of seal things lol. Whats a good way to get some cash flowing going at the start of the game?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, Search gets a LOT of non-related topics

Get your Imbue first, which is the first skill of each Force tree, except for Healing

2. I know the spear is more dmg for magic .. but I wanted to wear garments, so I figured I would go sword and shield. I was wondering how much that would hurt my leveling pace vs leveling with the spear. I figure it's sorta a draw since I won't use up so much healing items or sit as much.
Go with Garm and Spear, until you're in your late 40s, and 50s, Garment is more effective for leveling.

3. At what point should I try to farm SP? I was thinking once I hit lv8 and upgrade my weapon to farm up at the chi'in tomb ... but until what level? I can't see the mobs levels in comparison to my own so I am unsure exactly how long I should farm in and in what spots.
Farm whenever you feel like it. Preferably in a high-spawn area.

Get level 60 Heuksal, get ONLY level 1 of Wolf Bite Spear, then max Cheolsam Force. Wolf Bite can be used to help out leveling, all other weapon skills are optional. I recommend Soul Spear Series and the Ghost Spear Series. Flying Dragon isn't bad either.
5. Finally ... Money ... everything costs such an insane amount esp. those star of seal things lol. Whats a good way to get some cash flowing going at the start of the game?

Buy low, sell high. Sell drops at a fair price, so they're quickly bought, but you're not ripped off. Get an SoS drop and sell it. Don't buy SoS unless you're farming, or can afford it.

Thanks in advance.

ok so get those weapon skills even though im a magic user?

(ie: wolf bite lv1 / ghost spear / flying dragon)

As for imbues, should I get both the lightning and the fire imbue? I was looking at the lightning magic dmg buff (like +3% at lv1) but I am wondering if that only buffs lightning magic dmg, or does it buff ALL magic dmg?

Thanks for the speedy response :)

**edit

Hehe snuck a reply in while I was typing :)

So stop using garments ... when? and switch to protector I guess?

ok .. well i switched to protector garments and a spear.

currently i JUST turned level 11, have something like 175 skill pts saved up lol...

I have only raised fire mastery to lv5 and put 1 pt into the first imbue for fire.

I was thinking of doing nothing else until lv17 when I get lion shout on the lightning tree .. then buying the 3% magic atk buff + lion shout + the +9 perm parry on the lightning tree.

Really wish there was a bit more forgiveness in this skill system so I could tinker around (like a free skill reset @ lv20 would have been grand!)

Open to suggestions and thanks once again in advance.

Hotan respawn should be around level 40 or 42. Basicly, whenever you stop grinding in the Dead Ravine.

Not so. Stick to small bunwangs and you should be fine. Sword nukers should be able to 2-hit them at 42.
LOL
