Warrior/Cleric or Warrior/Bard

Post by blackh4t »

Okey so I wanna revive this big question ... Which is better ? In my opinion its Warrior/Cleric and I was convinced that it was better but lately ppl are talking that Bard Sub is a lot better ... I want your opinions ... I will let you know why I chose Cleric as a Sub...

Warrior/Cleric

First of all Warrior/Cleric has 3 skills that I can use as a Warrior its first and the best one Bless. For 45 sec with Bless no1 my lvl can kill me ... I am 50 lvl and against 57 nuker I survived every nuke with bless ... And on 60+ lvl I will have Mana skin skill that gives me Magic Defense go wild and combining with Iron skin it gives me immortality for another 45 sec so in total 90 sec you will be unbeatable ...

Another skill that cleric give is Holy Word ... It will reduce a lot of Weakining series and bad status like Curse etc.

And third and final is Recovery Division. It heals char for 300 sec.

And this helps a lot in PvP and Jobing ... On the other side we have,

Warrior/Bard

I heard it has 2 skills we can use as a Bard Subclass ... Its noise and moving march ...
Noise, I am not sure but I think it makes Offensive mobs Defensive xD , for example Mujigis wont attack you when you have it on ... Its great skill for Wizzards .. But as a Warrior I really dont need it as I can take on Party mobs easily ...

Second skill is moving march, and this skill really helps ... It makes char to run faster and since most warriors use Heavy Armor it is great ... But I use Light Armor and I have Scrolls and there is pots to buy outthere so I am not really going to change to bard only because this skill ...

So my question is do you agree with me or disagree ... If you disagree pls write some reasons for it ...

You've already stated good enough reasons in your first post:

...but this time I'll add my two cents as well:

For group PvP, It's true that the tambour/march/dancing buffs can be great, but they require a bard per tambour while dance requires even more bards. These requirements basically weed out slots needed for other classes, namely multiple tanks/nukers. What makes it even worse is if those bards are STR, they will not be able to attack and you're left with a heavily buffed party with little to no damagers, which will get crippled by actual good parties. IMO, a party needs no more than 2 bards, buffing with guard/mana tambour and a damage increase dance (which one depends on the party's damagers), with the bards constantly restoring MP (and if possible, one of them actively attacking).

STR clerics, although not capable of good attacks (besides glut healing spikes), can res and temporarily replace the role of the cleric. Multiple sub-clerics in the party also allows for indefinite bless spells and bless spell stacking, which would make the party almost unbeatable by itself; hypothetically they start by stacking bless spells, then immobilize by using Heaven Glare, then proceed to finish them off with Glut Healing spikes.

Go Cleric.

Warrior/Cleric imo because, Warriors will be invincible :P mana skin + iron skin + bless will boost physical def/magical def so much that your basically indestructible for awhile and recovery division is also useful, it can probably heal the amount of damage a normal mob deal to you in the span of time it takes to kill it, so no hp pots are used :P

so basically when jobbing, (im thief) i can buff up myself so that im basically invincible, go in to attack caravan, and pwn :P

bard... only thing you actually need alot is moving march for that nice 80% speed at 80 gap

others... not so much xD well thats my opinion anyways

EDIT: also in guild wars, (not the game...), you can buff up in safe zone, go outside and kill for the duration of the buff and go back when buffs are gone :P
