What determines who hit first?
What determines who hit first?
If two people same level, same mastery attacking each other with same skill, what will decide who gets the first hit in?
For example in a lv 80 fully farmed rogue fight with 2 rogues. Both are under steatlh, both stand 15 meters from each other, both have stealth detect on so they can see each other. Then they both start pricking each other, but they have to walk closer each other first. Finally when they are next to each other the pricking will start.
But what factor decides who hit first?

Lag and connection speed??
What about Hit ratio, which I've always thought helps hit faster.
In other games, the higher your Dexterity is the faster u will hit, so against low dex people u will get the first hit in.

No its damage trust me. The only way for the weaker char to damage first is if he starts the attack faster. Other than that if they start at the same time its whoever does the most.Juey wrote:[SD]Rainigul wrote:Whoever does more damage.

Its dmg if you hit weaker then your skill cancels and they get the kill you can even time it but icould also be a double KO
If the concept of us being all one consciousness's and us being one thing that lives endless through the cycle of nature the only clear emotion would be understanding .

Uhm I never said anything about 1 hit KO, those rogues cant kill each other in 1 hit, they need a follow up combo. So its the one that prick first, then first to do the follow up combo that wins. Not just the first first prick.

But it would be first to do combo, y'know?
Damage is the determining factor, lag too, but in a perfect, lag-free world, it's damage.

I know, I just said that in my post...First one to do the follow up combo wins. it doesnt matter if the other guy do more or less dmg, cuz he will be dead anyway.

I thought this topic was gonna be about Halo 3(not going to explain).
Nevertheless, I think it determines who presses the attack button first. Assuming they're both using attacks that use the same speed.
I've never noticed any difficulties about being or getting attacked first.
But then again..I always catch my opponents off guard(or run around without pots on attacking lv. 80's..whichever suits my mood)
Oh and..hi _SomeOne_!

They could both die, if your assuming an exact hit at the same time. So many times ives stunned my opponent and they kded me, or stunned me, and we both just sit there retarded. Assuming the same scenario but with killing blows...you both die is the best guess. There is no way to attack faster, all attacks are the same speed.

what he said....
We've all been in battles that ended with both parties killing themselves same thing would happen here....however if someone was off even by a foot then it would go to the person who reached the other guy first....

First person to press the button = first person to get the attack registered.
Remember that attack animations come after the attack is registered with the server, and this explains why you stop attacking when someone does their finishing blow before your shot.

This isnt FPS, u dont start atk the momment u press the button. in the scenario I mentioned both of those 2 rogues had to close the distance first after they pressed their atk button, they were 15 meters apart so after the key are pressed they automatically moves closer to each other, then the atk itself will be carried out once the distance is right, which by normal logic should be exactly the same time.

not hit ratio , the more parry ratio u have the faster u move and attk ( i have some proofs here (words marked out are useless words ) um.. my opinion is that the person that has more parry ratio will attk faster than then the one who doesn't - pretend they both have the best connection speed and computer ) 1 is the effect , that lowers parry ratio - other one is what parry ratio does to u

Obviously SRO isn't a FPS. The server's first reaction when an attack is registered is to get into range. If you're already within range, it goes ahead and attacks. Why did you think that happened?
Jeez, I thought it was common sense.
