Speaking in terms of ability, John Petrucci is at the top of my list, but there are many other greats IMO.

I chose the following guitar players for a couple of reasons. they play the same
music style as i used to when i still played guitar a lot, and they are awesome
at doing it. Last link is the last song i played when i was still taking lessons, one
of the few classical songs i loved to play.. After that, it basically went
downwards cause i didnt find the time anymore.

oh yes, Ihsahn is freakin' amazing. I'm pissed I missed some of their US shows recently
