Well, i'm a rogue and this is how i kill a wiz in pvp cape...though the concept can work for jw as well.
1) find the wiz
2) tab him
3) stealth
4) if he goes invisible, trace him using the tab mark on the map
5)a. he will get paranoid with the arrow above his head and start running around or he will forget about it
b. stealth lasts longer than invisible- as soon as he reappears, u know where to find him
c. if in party, get chinese person to cast the invisible debuff on where you are standing, making sure you are positioned right next to the wiz
6) as soon as you can see him- prick
There has been occasions when wizards have become smarter and planted traps.
Luckily, rogues can see these traps, so make sure you avoid it, and use xbow when he reappears instead of walking into a trap -_-''
That is how a I personally take care of the wiz =) leme know other ways too! =)
I think thats the funniest thing I have ever heard, you spend all that time to pvp a wizard and bring chinese into just to find them, it sounds a little far fetched to me, and since when can rogues see those traps thats new to me, your full of it on that one, since I ALWAYS use traps for the rogues that go stealth and then prick you and run back to safe.
Please refer to the Stealth series for a rogue, and in particular- DESTEALTH and INTENSIVE DESTEALTH trees. Here's a description of the skill:
Enables you, using your inner concentration, to temporarily spot an enemy who is in stealth state by picking up his traces in the dark. You can also find fire and lava traps planted by an enemy. You cannot spot those whose stealth levels are higher than your destealth level.
-Please note Fire and Lava traps-
With regards to having chinese char to debuff, that is option C...there is always option A and B. Either to wait it out until the invisible buff finishes, or to wait when they are least expecting it.
All 3 options are viable in my opinion, and works. The only advantage is, you know where the wiz is at all times, whilst they dont have a clue where you are.
Perhaps you fought with people who did not have a high enough lvl of destealth, or more likely, 10 lvls lower than you.
Fortunately for me, you are full of it this time.
so your trying to tell me that in the split split second you see a wizard when his invisible is about to wear off and he puts it on again you can locate him, click on him and kill, you must have the fastest reaction time in this game, and I still think its funny you go through all this to try to kill a wizard, and the agruement was how a chinese kills a wizard, and by the way, I have lvl 8 stealth/invisible detect which can be used when im invisible (doesnt make me visilbe when i use it), so yes I can see you too
oh? you have lvl 8 stealth detect? so you are a wiz/rogue?...if thats the case, il LOL at you now.
If you are referring to the wiz skill "detect"..then im sorry to tell u, but ur full of it, again. Please read the description more carefully. it detects invisible only.
Well, you ask about the practicality of the split second a wiz reskills. If you ever played a rogue, you will know that the action prick will not cancel if i have clicked you, and pressed the action key. In other words, as long as i have clicked u and pricked, even if you become invisible, my skill will not be interupted and it still hits you.
With a tab on ur head, not only do i know where you are, i know which direction you are facing. it's easy to predict when you will de-invisible.
In jw, i find that my main purpose is to kill the wiz/garment wearers as they do a lota mag dmg. So if you were to ask me if i would go to the trouble of taking out a wiz like this, yes, and in all honesty, it is not that troublesome. With pure str and other pure int chars, rogues have the element of suprise. Our head tab takes away this element for wiz players.
To give u an idea of how effective this method is, i am lvl 64, and i can repeatedly kill a lvl 80 int wiz. no crit, no zerk. just plain 7-8k+ 1hit ko dmg with a lvl 64 dagger.
