Clipping mask renders.?!

I was just wondering where some of you get the designs for the clipping mask areas you use, such as brokensaint's sig.

are they renders? or pen tool things?

and could you also tell me how its done.

btw i know how to do clipping masks, thats not what im asking for help with xD

please tell me if im not being clear of what im asking.. :oops:

You can use anything as a clipping mask such as splatter brushes, or any brush for that matter or you can use the custom shape tool.

read the bottom of brkn's tut. it gives u a mini-tut on clipping.

what did you two use? is it brushes? because they look so precise and 'professional' somthing which would be tricky with a line tool or whatever...

anyway, what i did to see what the mask does, is try out different brushes
or other things and see what happens... i guess i'm more of a trial and error
type of guy

i use a lot of brushes... using the pen tool would take FOREVER lol.

<i suck at making curves with it anyway :P>
