It's not the purpose as Joymax intended (maybe it is?), but it's the purpose as players perceived it. Why would someone be in an academy that doesn't plvl, when tehre are literally hundreds that give free plvls. As a guardian, you should want points, not to shoo people away from giving you them. If you're so uncomfortable helping people out, maybe the roll of a guardian isn't the right one for you.
I went through the same things with mine, needless to say my academy lasted about 48 hours, ended up just being a hard lesson to learn that set me back 100k. Never gonna have another one, way too much of a hassle.
We get new players who don't even know how to leave an academy who think they should get a free ride to lvl 40.
Stupidity at its max, maybe they should learn how to play 1st.
Also your no better than them. Using such immature language when simply ignoring them or not resulting to same lame insults such as "motherfucker" would of been suffice. But hey, whatever works for you i guess.

still he waited for a significant abuse before he was rude back
but man that guy was annoying,
A man once said, "Fear is contagious". So then the same must hold true for courage. The Roar of a Crowd begins with one man.
Also, i've got to be honest that I never read the full dialogue before this post.. but now that I have.. wow you're the noobiest lvl 80 I've ever seen..
Shame on you, why can't you control yourself?

why didn't you just kick him out right away? flaming/messing around with such a moron is a waste of time, not even funny.

you give plvl and they give you points...
how can you show someone how to play... lv 60 fighting manyganys to show how to kill them?
just plvl me and i'll give you points lol
Learn to play the game before coming here, a guardian's job is to show the map, maybe teach what different stuff is, in short its to help a beginner get started in SRO.
If you really want your god damn honor points recruit 24/7 bots in your academy and go PvP...

Its suppose to be a place where a low level can ask someone for help if they need it. Back in the day when i 1st started playing i was lucky to have real life friends to show me the basics. But now, the academy system was created so that new players have a place to ask the basics of the game.
Also it was created to promote high levels jobbing with low levels. To have lvl 60+ people to show new players the basics to jobbing and ways to survive etc.
Power leveling should never be an automatic thing. If a guardian wants to do it then so be it, if not the new players should have no right to ask for it.
With my noob accounts, I always join the ones that offer plvling for free. Why wouldn't I? Umm...everything between 1-40 is pointless especially if it's a euro char, and, at least on Oasis, there are ZERO parties for euro chars.
High levels want those buffs, I want a relatively leveled euro char, it's a win-win situation.
The purpose is to GET HONOR POINTS, not to help new people. How many "new people" will actually spend 74 tries attempting to log in to the server (Oasis, non-peak hours, regular client (not a "no-dc-one")).
Quite frankly, that asshole turk was right in that you should powerlevel, though, you are right...in that he should leave himself. Whatever.
*sigh* some people just don't understand the point of powerleveling...party mobs...etc. (At least, the way it's come to be...) Accept it, it's part of the game.
Most people learned long ago to not allow strangers into their academy. Its not worth the hassle. Most just irritate you with their incessant begging for plvling, not listening to you when you try to help them with the game, or simply log in for 2 days never to be seen again. Not worth it. Just recruit friends into your academy and/or be -very- clear to people how you run your academy. Before I let a random person in my academy I let them know exactly what the services are that I provide, and how I provide them. That said, don't make an academy if you aren't willing to plvl people, because that really is the point of it and what people expect when they join.
