It's the story of this bitch reindeer who's born with a red nose. He's made fun of until one day when Santa needs him and then everybody loves him. Heartwarming story, right? Wrong. Why is Rudolph special? Does he have any skill? Any training? Did he LEARN how to be useful? Nope. He was born that way. It's basically telling kids: "Some people are better than you because they're just genetically superior. You're successful only if you're born special." #1. #2: Rudolph's emo. If he really is this "Special" and "successful" reindeer, how come nobody cares until he's actually useful? Does he change throughout the story? Nope. He's still the same bitch with a glowing nose at the end as he was in the beginning. However, in the beginning the guy's TRYING to conform by hiding his nose. And it works. He's happy! And then it falls off and he's ridiculed so he becomes sad, mopes around, cries, and cuts his wrists. He's that way the entire story until santa finally does something and makes him a part of the sleight. Then everybody loves him and he's happy again. Moral of the story: "Society determines who you are, how important you are, and how happy you are, and there's nothing you can do about it."
Society can go to hell, if you don't care what other people think you can do fine, self-esteem and confidence is what it takes, you don't need other people to tell you how cool you are or if you're a nice person.
Now in the Grinch's case you can be miserable but instead of being a whiney bitch about it you can make everyone else's lives miserable too. I like the Grinch more.
