well, the ppl who dnt like anime probably, when they were a lil younger, liked such cartoons as like X-Men, Spiderman and all that!!!!!!

Where do u think he got his influence from?!?!?!?!?

Besides the japanese are much better drawers than any1 else and take pride in it by taking time to draw a whole movie!!!! And make it good!!!!!!! with all the blood, guts, gore and pure unadulterated fantasy that draws you in. (example - Urotsukidoji, Ghost in the Shell etc, etc) whereas any other artist would just get some high paid hollywood director to make their cartoons 'real' lol

That's just my view anyway!

Archangel21, clean your keyboard, the ! and ? buttons seem to get stuck quite often.

/Ontopic: As long as the story is interesting and looks good, I can appreciate it. But it doesn't HAVE to be anime to be good.
Haven't seen too much, likedWolf's Rain and Rurouni Tsuikuhen best.
Grave of the Fireflies was very nice aswell.

Lol. watch the Hellsing AMVs, and Elfen Lied.
The Hellsing AMVs would probably be rated R just for the cursing, not to mention all the gore.

I just finished watching the anime movies "Tokyo Godfathers" and "Paprika" by Satoshi Kon, very nicely done if you ask me he's up there with Miyazaki
