Wizard Hybrid help...!!

ok so im lvl 40 wizard right now and i think im dying to easy i get owned be almost any crit of something 1-3 lvls below me with life control on.

Heres's what im trying to achieve a wizard/sub clreic that can nuke hard dmg and still tank a hit or 2 before killing its target? help pls

Wizard isnt suppose to tank. Going hybrid well reduce your damage alot and just fark up your build.

Alchemy is your freind, with str added and the hp bonuses on the head/chest/legs you can be able to take a hit or two.

Though I would only use life control in a full party or in pvp. If you are soloing at that lvl you do not have enough hp to start with why make it even less with life control?

Maybe grind on mobs -1 to your lvl?

By what you have said, you were plvled by a guardian. I learned in my mid 20s that I was dying WAY to fast. I even put some hp on there. I would say if you are going to go hyb. Do whatever you would with a spear nuker hyb. That’s basically what it is. I also had a hard time finding a good party. So that may help. If you didn’t solo. btw -1 lvl isnt enuff. i was lvl 25-27 and couldnt even grind the pilots and priates solo. thats why i quit, i got frustrated.

Remember that you are an euro char, EVERY single euro char dies fast, you are the highest damage dealer and also one of the weakest, its normal that you die fast...
Believe me, you will lvl up very fast now, i advice ishades and magic dealers to level up because they barely hurt you and you kill them fast ^^

here's what i can tell you im lvl 39 wizard and i can tell you that i am more of a 2str/3int split. and its been a lot easier to kill monsters. i used to be full int but i kept dying and if u solo a lot u know that people arent really nice in the resing department. so im wasting a lot of time going back and forth from town to xp farm site. and after i started 2/3 split its a lot easier. i was 38 and i could hit 44 bunwangs by myself with two hits from life control. they would do about 600 damage i had about 1100 life. you lvl up a lot faster since you are gonna be soloing 90% of the time. not many monsters are gona let u kill them in one hit. most are too fast. killing them in 2 hits is easier. dont forget life control almost doubles your power. so the more u invest in str the easier it will be for u to solo using life control. if you dont like this idea then do a 2/3 split each time you are able to increase your spell levels or life control. you get a boost of power anyways and so use it on defence. anyone please correct me on this.

im lvl 55 wiz...i own all...i have tons of str based gear with +5 gear and weap..i dont die, use your cleric buffs and rock the world

I'm a wizard hybrid and it has allowed me to train on my own if I'm not with a party. Granted, my magic power doesn't pack much of a punch but its worth taking a few hits and not having to worry about to die all the time.

Of course, finding the right party will definitely help you out on the long run.

i have a lvl 49 blader yeah a lvl a lil slower than other builds but i also have a wizard lvl 21 and i can see that both are good but wizard hits hard and even harder with life control but a blader is the best tanker in SRO
if u can get both and lvl the one u like best higher and the other keep it 15 lvl below you're favorite on so u wont fall back on the game

you can 1 hit monsters higher than your lvl...

i can 2 hit monsters that are 10 lvls over me with 7 gap... :/

just get noise and you're fine...

plus bind monster if you have to run so they cant chase you

in my experience with Wizards (which is 0) i would just quit wiz altogether because i have a friend that is a wiz and even tho im only 4 lvl's higher he constantly asks to be in an 8 man party with me so that as i kill a party mob he can suck up my exp >.< not only that after one of the mobs goes after him and i save him (like always cuz im such a pwner ) he brags about his damage... long story short i suggest making a blader never boring fun to tank with and never die

You just need the bard backup so you can get noise. And all of your grinding issues are instantly resolved.

Pure wizard isnt the best....1:7 build is the best. 1 str per every 7 int. Till lvl 80 that is about 30 str points....it will bring your mag balance near 88% i think naked....Then with a bunch of int on it you can make your balance 100% or higher. Also get cleric buffs. Extra int/str means higher mag balance and higher hp also 45 second invincibility is also useful. Hope this helped!

you'll die if it is off anyways in aggro area lol, so might as well kill as many as you can before you die

Euro chars deal with physical damage, or magical damage you dont' get both...since you're wizard stay pure int.

Indeed. If you wanted to have HP and tank, why choose Euro Wizard? Its meant to have crap defense against mobs doing phy attacks.

If you want high damage and tanking ability go Rogue or 2H Warrior, Wizards aren't meant to tank, never were and never will.

Pure int for wizard ^^ it's not worth the lack of power that you will get. trust me.

Doesn't matter if you are 90% hybrid or even 85% hybrid, 1h Warrior your lvl will 1 hit you with maddening without having your earth barrier up, and even with bless spell on they will 1 hit you with a crit. Pretty much the same goes for rogue. If you are going wiz, you should already expect to die in 1 shot if you are hit, that way you will learn to avoid getting hit. Your best defense is offense, just kill everything around you in 1 shot so you don't have to take one yourself. If you are going to use life control, make sure you can take at least 1 shot from the mobs and ideally, with some more STR you should be able to take a crit in life control. And if not, then don't kill those mobs 10 lvls above your own.
