We're just having a regular lunch minding our own shit probably chatting about how many skulls we've cracked the past week. Me and this dude go back a while and shit, so we can laugh at any situation that others wouldn't find funny.

Out of nowhere some army recruiter comes up and starts talking to me. The man knows quality when he sees it. Probably imagines me with 50 bullet wounds, leading a platoon of men screaming orders while grenades and rockets are going off all around. Imagines all the grunts looking up at their fearless leader for their morale boost as they storm the enemy's defences.

I mentioned I was with my friend and it was very easy to laugh with him around. If I was alone I wouldn't of laughed at his face. I would of thought his accent was amusing but I wouldn't of laughed. You end up behaving in a different way when you're with friends or in a group, whether you intend or not.

I don't really see how people not being happy with me have to do with much of anything.
I post some real life stories and make them a bit more dramatic for my enjoyment and because I can safely assume that some people may get a kick out of it(and it has turned out true.) If someone doesn't like me or my posts fine with me.

Some people do take the internetz serious. Ofcourse. You're talking to real people, it's not like everything thats posted on the forums here should be interpreted as 'not real'.

And you have people that say 'its just the internet'.

The thing is, there are some people here that often post in serious topics, take alot of time on doing research or have knowledge about what they speak of. But then they crash in some other thread and spam some 'sarcastic' and insulting posts at people.

And then its like 'I was being sarcastic kid dont take the internet serious lawl'.

Sarcasm here is often recognizable, but sometimes it is not. Sometimes it can be interpreted as an insult, and at the same time made to make fun of the author of the thread. When people don't recognize that sarcasm it's just natural for them to react in defense.

Anyways, I think I'm wandering off. :p

Point being, I think some members should watch more carefully what they type, think it over, and not always go against the flow and start attacking people here. This is the OTL, I don't know about you guys but I'm here to chill, have a good time, not to fight about who is wrong or who is right in a discussion (often based on opinions) unless the thread is dedicated for that purpose so people that don't need that (often) drama can stay out.

And to add: this is SilkRoadforums, a forum for people playing an online game. A lot of posters are kids, so it can happen that they have trouble giving understandable arguements in a discussion, or sometimes contradicting themselves by mistake.

I'm not goint to try to remember some fancy proverb, but it is said and it is generally true that the people who truly are (insert whatever adjective you want) don't go around bragging about it or trying to call out others.
Same holds true with the "grow up" "maturity" arguments. I speak from forum experience (not necessarely SRF so don't come playing the "oh he's a veteran member thinking he's better than us newer folk!" crowd) that the vast majority of thsoe arguments end up coming from the younger crowd (in RL age, not forum shit) that attempt to validate themselves.
