o_0 why you all flaming....and supporting gaymax with their bots, no customer support, dc, lag, etc etc when we got twist and them making us a Silkroad with no bots and all the meanest gears and sh_t we deserve?

Sure you don't want to be spoiled ok..fine then just don't join the private server and keep paying and playing if you can get in gaymax for dc lag, scams, etc while we play in paradise. This server is for all those who have been there and done that. Looking forward to it.

private server prolly won't last long anyway. I think I heard somewhere that u need a supercomputer to make a sro private server and even then it won't let in more than 10 ppl. I'll google it up.

you do realise that if you don't own a licence of silkroad than you can bet your ass joymax will spend the money we pay for silk to pay for lawers to prosecute ppl who run these private servers.

thats why Private servers are Private... and not posted on the most visited silkroad forums =/

although i say all this i would love to play on a private server with active gm's, real events etc. etc.

own a license for a FREE game? read my post, you are ALLOWED to create a private server, but NOT to make money off it. You are not allowed to make money from SELLING silk or other joymax items. If it stays free, then it's legal, if i'm wrong, please post a part of the TOS where it says, that it's not allowed to create private servers. ty

lawers? google WoW private servers, there are more then 100 private servers, why blizzard doesnt sue them? they make millions of dollars per month.

Private servers are illegal depending all how they're created. If they're just modifying existing server code then it is illegal because of copyright infringement. If they are building their own server code from scratch, then it is not. JM could also try and argue that a private server has affected their silk sells, similar to one of the facts NCSoft used against L2Extreme.

L2Extreme was a free private server for lineage II. Here is a link.

joymax owns the game. they dont pay licenses for their own game.

l2extreme used the official server files /those were stolen from ncsoft/
so that was illegal.

Now all l2 private servers use l2j, an emulator written in java, and it is legal
to use and host.

there is no international law against any server emulator that was writen from scratch.

It is illegal for the user to modify the client, but who cares lol.

It is illegal a site to host an util that modifies the client in any ways, so a site
can be sued for that.

It is legal to redirect the client connection by no modifying the files just by the windows host file.

Any sro private server will be legal that keep this in mind, and non profit based.
If they ask any $$ for the service then they can be sued, for asking donation for the hosts cat is legal.

...

But the sro private server is decades away from being done, reason the few ppl who is working on it.
And that even the offcial servers are free to play too.

Official servers there for years and years
Private servers die all the time if they can't afford the cost or the owner dies (happened)

And by the way these 10% working ones will contain 1% of keylogger so LOL on those who get owned.

What's wrong with double the drop rate? They would still be rare...and triple XP gains would be ok. 10x is too much. You will be level 100 in less than a month (assuming no BOTS are allowed).

While there's nothing wrong with PvP, it shouldn't be the main part of the game. Balance is key.
