Stage6 Videos Appearing Dark...

Post by darkmaster21 »

Quick question,

Why do Stage6 (DivX) videos appear dark, I can see only a faint glimpse of them. It sometimes does this but sometimes does not. It has a normal picture before I launch the video but as soon as it is done buffing it becomes dark and barely visible.

Its not my video card or brightness settings on my monitor either because as I stated above it sometimes happens...anyway to fix this problem?

it probably just seems that way because of the dark background, or they make it that way so that it looks better. if not it's probably really your graffic card or software

Clean your graphic drivers with driver cleaner and get updated ones. I had t he same problem before and not anymore with new drivers. Are you using an ATi card?

Don't listen to the above people. They either don't use divx a lot or don't know of this problem. It's a common issue with divx. If you start doing something else while the video's playing/paused the image will sometimes turn black. The way to 'fix' this is to 'switch user' which will take you to your acct selection screen. Sign back in and it should be 'fixed.'

yup it's the dimmer setting happens if you don't press any buttons for a while or you pause the player and go start doing something else than it happens I just any random keys on my keyboard and it goes away.
