Finished the game. It was pretty damn good accept the anti-climatic end and the numerous bugs. I know it's a open end world game but they could've really used more QA.

Ok, to reword. It is suspenseful, but it's the same old game design conventions that devs have been using since the 8-bit era. I believe I heard this will be a trilogy and the ending lends itself to that. It finishes the story while leaving room for 'this will happen next.'

It doesn't have those monster things that can kill you in 1 hit does it? I hated those damn things in FarCry. They would crawl around in vents so you had no place to go when you see them.

No, the aliens are decent enemies. Only complaint from me is that there isn't many of them. Ground, air and long range.

Ok, so as per your earlier recommendation, I bought COD4 on steam and beat it over the weekend. Lots of hella fun. Pretty tough too I might add. Amazing visuals and stuff. My only complaint is that it's way too short. Hopefully there will be decent expansion packs...oh, and i liked the little "Rescue the VIP" mini game after the credits rolled. Now I'm going to hit up the multiplayer and see what that is like. And, I"ll probably be getting Crysis soon too :)
