Is it me or do all the songs I'm hearing are more Idiotic?

Well it's self explanatory really. All the songs I know hear are garbage artists singing about garbage things. I mean how Idiotic is it when Yo Ghotti is rapping about how much cocaine he has at his auntie's house, or T.I rapping he has all these gun and ur gonna get hurt, or NickelBack talking about how all his drugs will come free if he's a rockstar or Britney Spears acting like a whore and all these songs about meaningless things? I mean don't these people know how many people they influence? It's just stupid in my opinion.

Any people you take from the past, and show them the music of this days, ALL of them will say its a shit, that thats not music, its noise. But if you ask everybody what they think about the music some years ago, many will say they like it. I personally love music like The Beatles, Queen, Elvis, and a lot more.

Mainstream music will always suck. Real hip hop isn't dead it just went underground. The best music is the music you rarely hear on the radio or on MTV if at all.

Sometimes i try to listen to new music and i get exactly what you mention above.

you can still find some good stuff out there (gorillaz have some pretty good lyrics and hip-hop)

I still don't like it when people say old music is better though.
I used to listen to old stuff, but the best music is new stuff that you never hear. You have to search a while for it, but in the end you'll find something you'll really like.

Stuckup if your looking for good quality hip hop give Saul Williams a try you can also catch some of his work on Def Jam poetry I recommend " Penny for a Thought" and " Black Stacy". Also mentioned by someone else Common never fails to deliver but I think a few others that should also be mentioned are Nas ,Jedi Mind Tricks and The Roots.
