When the servers are crowded I enter with no problem (2-3 tries) but when I try to play I lag A LOT,every 10 seconds or so I have huge lag spikes.
Other people I party with seem to not lag at all (I asked them).
Why would I reformat the PC if , first - it's new and second, I'm having no slow downs in any games and how is internet related to it ?
When the servers are populated it works smooth.
Some people doesnt seem to know that lag dont always are computer based, it also depend on internet which i think Foloroth are trying to say that he have and i can say that you are not alone of it. I have it to, nothing you could do about it really. :/

if it's lag spikes it'd have to be your internet, comp problems just cause it to.."skip" or at least that's what I've gained from my gaming experiences >.>
well i got lags too but not every 10 sec every 2 sec and my lags are long for like 20-30 sec lol im dieing ALOT cuz of the fuckinf lags
btw where are you from?!
SRO has never given me trouble, I only get lag spikes when my shitty internet connection is having problems :S but I usually fix that by resetting the router, other than that no lag for me...
premium ticket is your answer server capacity is lets say 200 and 20 people with pt log in server is overload therefore it lags a bit i got a high end pc and ya i got 0 lag but in the morning specially on the weekend i get lag spikes and this is what i think is going on i got max settings no lag at all besides when i scroll to hotan there is no god there
-ISP
- number of hops to the server (traceroute)
- video card texture memory running out
- network speed settings
- hosts file
- PC using too much memory, thus hitting the swapfile
- rumor is SrO doesn't do too great with dual-cores, run single core affinity
- pc not completely updated
- hard drive fragmented
- SRO install a little "off"
try reducing your video settings to minimum for grins too.
Just a few things, some are more likely than other. Mostly network though.
