but im goin to buy Cod4,i prefer cod4 to it

I thought it was awful, you might like it but I can't see it being anything more than another hype-fest. It's FarCry with pretty graphics and a few extras.

from the early reviews looks like it really does live up to the hype, but the
main problem is having a PC able to run it.

i played the demo, and i've seen a lot better. cod4 has much better graphics, and there isn't much new in crysis that other games haven't done. the only thing they have running for them is the suit.. which basically gives you 20seconds of camo walking.. which the enemy can still see you, speed for 5seconds, strength, and iron skin. i think it's gonna flop really, with cod4, 1.4 for 2142, and sof3 comming.. yeah

i've run the max setting and i really wasn't impressed, maybe it's just the fact its in a island jungle setting, i've seen that way too many times. maybe the actual game will look better than the demo, i really hope the whole game isn't based off that single island :banghead:

also, do you know about the directx exploit you can use to get even higher graphics?

Not really, not in every aspect, the fire on Crysis looks like shit. Plus they are two different environments a urban and a tropical setting. Im on COD4 and EA can go suck a major fatty. All they do is manipulate the market so other companies cant get games out. Check and see how many other game makers they have power over.

It's not just a tropical setting. It's got tropical/island levels, zero-gravity interiors of an alien spaceship, snow-covered ice levels too. So, to say it's just Far Cry but prettier is flat-out wrong. All the videos I have seen have been amazing. All the reviews I've read online say taht it's the best-looking game out on PC right now, better than COD4. and COD4 DOES look good, but CRYSIS looks better. And the gameplay looks remarkable to me.

its all opinions though, i liked the gameplay in the demo and hopefully in later levels in the game the suit will become more important to the gameplay, if it dosnt then, meh. The sandbox will make up for that.

crysis demo was decent ... but then again i couldn't play on all high details

Well I played both Crysis and CoD4 on high settings, I was more impressed by Crysis, the water for example.. omfg!

The gameplay.. hm its innovating to have all the powers, you can actually throw cars over your head and all that, pretty cool, like the cloak, speed etc.

The story seems to be AWESOME. Not only the alien race, but also (spoiler? or not?) later in the game you will hear that your helmet filters all the negative aspects out of the battle and makes it seem 'nicer'. THATS why the battle takes place on a tropical island, or SO IT SEEMS

The blood is filtered out too, all to make soldiers more effective in live combat and less led by their emotions. For all we know you could be killing civilians in the Vietnam war with some secret project helmet, who knows?

Cod 4 is good, but imo Crysis is more promising.

Thats weird cuz I thought I read it in my national gamemagazine in an interview with the makers?
