New SRF Vent *UPDATED - Read 1st Post*

So how about one? I know we had one before, except I never got to getting on it, so I don't really know how popular it was.

I'm sure if we looked we could find a free server somewhere, even though some members said they would help in part to pay for it. It also would give a vent to the funds that having google ads in the sidebar as I suggested some time ago. With the united support of members, be it clicking ads, or actually contributing time/funds, it seems to be possible.

I posted this in Site Discussion as well, but so few people read said forum, that a larger response would undoubtedly be generated here.

In any case users seem to be onboard, but it would be much more of a success if the staff were as well.

*The Numbers*

Assuming that about half the active (i.e. users online)SRF community was on vent at any given time, our own vent server would cost only $7.50-$15.00 a month, depending on how many people would actually be on it. $7.50 is the price for a 35 person limit, which seems to be plenty. $15 a month is the cheapest price I could find for a 100 person server. On the smaller side, assuming half of everyone on SRF who is online at any given time isn't up to getting on vent, a server could cost as little as $3 a month for a 10 people limit, or $6 for a 25 person limit.
