Sometimes we need to vent out our problems. Advice whether useful or not helps cope with the stress of the situation. Sometimes going to close friends and parents isn't enough. If you see the thread, ignore it. Simple as that. For some people, forums are the only place they can escape to for advice. I don't see how it is "abnormal" to ask a community of people a question in hopes of getting closure on a situation. Who knows, you may find yourself in a situation that you may want the community to help with somewhere down the road. Just my 2 cents
