And it will be a professionally hosted server, so yes it will have VAC.

oh well then, if our srf source night isn't saturday then I just got screwed =/

How about Saturday = Source and Sunday = 1.6?

Yay that works :)
What time though?
9-ish eastern time?

It will be an all day event. Just show up when you're ready to play.

Yup. Gotta buy it, but CS 1.6 is what like $14.95? or $9.95?

http://www.SteamPowered.com

UPDATED THE ORIGINAL POST

The Source IP will be posted tonight. It is a FoCA hosted server so you must abide by the FoCA rules on the MOTD when you join the server. The 1.6 server will be hosted by me so it will be a more relaxed environment with fewer rules. 1.6 IP will be posted within the next week or two.

+1, especially for the price. It's a great gun to do a counter buy with; it gives you an edge over the MP5 without having that edge cost too much.

To be quite honest, the only difference between a decent CAL-im team and a CAL-p/i team is teamwork. We had a LAN team here in Oklahoma called TeamOK! that was made up of highly skilled players, 2 of them were former zEx members. We never won a single tournament because of lack of teamwork. Most of them were very arrogant and couldn't cooperate and develop chemistry.

On the other hand, when I started IDoA it was founded on friendship, discipline, and loyalty. Everyone hung out when we weren't playing CS and we had a blast. Come match time, the guys knew that I was the team leader and the one calling the shots. They could still give input during practice, but during a live match they did not question any strat I called. Because of the way we ran our team and stuck together, we were highly successful. I am not an amazing CS player. I've always considered my play to be mediocre, at best. But because I buy into team effort, I was able to get to CAL-m and even play at CPL. Raw skill had nothing to do with it.

I completely agree about that one, about 75% of all the teams out there all suck because they simply dont work together good enough.

In my last team i had to keep on saying "DONT SPOT WITH THE BOMB"
The opposite team knew where the bomb went every round, unless we rotated to a/b.

So hard to find a really decent team. Teamwork is all you need if your teamwork is good and your teammembers listen to you your more likely to be succesful then when you only have good aim.

What i also can't stand if the caller calls too late, for example, 2/3x eco but theres some people in the team that buy up before the call, and thats really annoying.
Also this is a lack of teamwork. You wait for the call; then you make a move. Simple, but every single round there is something that goes wrong, for example, nade in b tunnels at cobble when they are rushing in 1st round, it never works out because of people talking in TS/Vent or because the first one threw it but didn't even hear any movement in tunnels...
Or when the caller clearly says "ECO" and still kits/he's are bought..

Also really annoying is people with crappy mics, all you hear is CRRRRRRRRRR on the background, know what i mean? That can really **** your strat for that round. Also people screaming "NO WAY!!" when they got shot...

o well.. I've never really been interested in joining a clan/scrimming untill really late, i was an overall good player when i joined my first clan, but because of lack of experience in scrim/wars i had no choice, can hardly join a good team when i dont even know what eco is. And that's also why i have so much to argue about, i was far better then the people in my team.

What i also find really important is movement and timing, especially when your awping. I was main awper of most of my teams because with an awp i barely miss and for some reason my reaction can be extremely accurate.
My distance bursting is alright as well.

Actually, many med/high skilled players in css/et/cod etc. see it as a sport.

You have weekly matches pre scheduled - you have to be there in time or you'll miss it - You can **** it up for the rest of the team - Teamwork and what not...

Besides, professional gaming is getting more appreciated over years. More and more competitions / lans are held. I like it.

Too late. It's already happened. Professional CS player salaries have already broken the $1million mark.

Custom map without download = no game.

And you got enough sound files on that server to dub a 2 hour feature film.
