Since the system came out in November i'd count a full year meaning until Nov 2006 as the first year of the Xbox....So the games i played DoA4, Oblivion, 99-Nights, Dead Rising, Prey, Fight Night 3, Call of Duty 3, Temchu Z, and Rainbow Six: Vegas. And some of those are multiplatform the difference isn't the graphics though. The difference is i didn't pay an extra $200 to play them.... so yeah That all the games i played that were released from Nov 2005 to Nov 2006 and yeah it not a huge list but its more than enough for me and im sure most ppl would agree....so i had plenty to play the first year unlike you cause Rachet and clank just came out like a week ago....hopefully maybe sometime soon your PS3 will become worth it

It took the PS2 till the end of its system life for companies to begin actually utilizing it to its full potential and making games where the graphics didn't look like crap a good example is RE4...The PS3 is still in the baby stage of its system life and right now the graphics don't look much better than the 360's. It'll take awhile before developers start putting out games that really showed off the PS3's graphic capabilities IF they ever do...that stuff cost alot of time and alot of money and all in all its just not worth it...

Ok first of all...you do know that RE4 was origional a Gamecub game and the
PS2 version looks SHIT compared to it...proving once and for all that the
Gamecube was a more powerful console, the game RE4 was a Gamecube

MS re-released the core system (360 arcade) fixing all the hardware issues.

As a longtime player and recent owner of a 360, I can say I'm ecstatic with my new toy. I've been having a great time with Halo 3 and RS:LV. Can't wait to pick up BioShock and CoD4. Also on my list are GoW, HL2:OB, FEAR, PGR4. Even though I finished GR:AW 2, I want to go through the campaign solo.

If you want to game right now, I don't think there is any question that you should get a 360. As of today, the system is reliable, there is huge depth and breadth of titles, the support for online TV and Movie content is great and getting better.

I think people's attraction to the PS3 is colored by their love of the PS2. The PS2 is a great system. The PS3, right now, just isn't. In three years, the PS3 will probably be a great machine. Right now, there are very few games for it. And even if you have a top-of-the-line TV, there aren't many BluRay discs out yet.

Debate between Ps3 and Xbox 360 as the better system is moot. Everyone was already biased before coming into this thread because they already preferred one over the other. And no system is generally better because everyone has a different opinion. Polygon count is neglible because most people can't see a graphical difference between ps3 and xbox360.

Ah yes and thats why the PS3 sells a separate cooling system available....because it never over heats....

Also the development card doesn't work for Sony since ALL its big titles have been in development for well over 3 years now. And yeah some 360's have an over heating problem, alot of them do, thats why if something happens you can call up Microsoft and get a new one no hassle, the same cannot be said for the PS3 whose launch was filled with over heating and system errors and there were no returns you definitely need to recheck that statistic your spouting off cause its not true at all im pretty sure the console with the least amount of problems was the N64 or the GameCube. Microsoft recognized its problem and put out an Auto 3 year warranty on the console. Whats to stop the reader from scratching the disk? As for the Oblivion thing yeah i played both im sorry that i don't have an Uber HD TV so so when i looked at them the only thing i could tell was that the framerates on the PS3 were off and loading was longer and for the oddest of reasons there were major slowdown problems in areas where the 360 version ran smoothly.

So unless your have tons of patience and don't mind waiting for your over priced game to come out 5 years after the start of the system while you struggle to play it online then get a PS3. If you like good games now, tomorrow, and pretty much in a steady stream, enjoy fantastic online services and don't mind not having UBER AMAZING graphics that you can't see without an UBER AMAZING HD TV get a 360....

You do know that the PS, and PS2 had started out the same way. As I said warhawk, Rac:tod is a nice game, same with rfom, uncharted is coming out soon, heavenly sword. What other then Geow(didn't even really come out the first year) did you play that wasn't a multiplat game in it's first year?

Since the system came out in November i'd count a full year meaning until Nov 2006 as the first year of the Xbox....So the games i played DoA4, Oblivion, 99-Nights, Dead Rising, Prey, Fight Night 3, Call of Duty 3, Temchu Z, and Rainbow Six: Vegas. And some of those are multiplatform the difference isn't the graphics though. The difference is i didn't pay an extra $200 to play them.... so yeah That all the games i played that were released from Nov 2005 to Nov 2006 and yeah it not a huge list but its more than enough for me and im sure most ppl would agree....so i had plenty to play the first year unlike you cause Rachet and clank just came out like a week ago....hopefully maybe sometime soon your PS3 will become worth it

i have to agree with XD, the ps3 is great, im sure the new game that will come out eveually it might be good. but for now 360 all the way, the 360 does have problems (which console doesnt) but micro would replace it for you or fix it. so right now the 360 is better but who knows maybe the ps3 with get better.

360 had a fantastic year THIS year so if it slows down a bit i won't mind besides we have Project Offset, Too Human, Fable 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, WarHammer:MoC, Ninja Gaiden 2(not another remake an actual sequel) those are the exclusives that i can think of but Soul Caliber 4, StarWars Batllefront III, GTA4, and Devil May Cry 4 are all good games that i'll get to play probably with the benefits of amazing online support and for $200 less than what you had to pay, the actual game itself will probably be cheaper on the 360 to and really i don't think Uber HD graphics will make a difference to most ppl, i can see it fine gamings reached the point where great graphics are a dime a dozen gameplay and replay value are much more important so putting out actual games and having a health multiplayer setting (Xbox Live>Steam>Sony) are important...

BTW as far as PS3's 2008 line-up its basically MGS4 and GT5 everything else will pale in comparison. FFXII was perfection of an FF games XIII will only make you hate women (FFX-2). Im a bit old for rachet and clank. Lol you mentioned Heavenly Sword and GOW3 in the same sentence, have you seen the vids of heavenly sword, its GoW with a chick basically and GoW wasn't that impressive of a game. I don't get how ppl can button mash and then press Triangle to do an awesome looking move and call it epic, if i want actually challenging swordplay i'll stick with Gaiden. PS3 has no FPS that will outsell Halo 3 thats a fact idc how great you think socom is between CoD4, Rainbow 6, and Halo 3 360 has a wonderful series of FPS of plenty variety that ppl will be playing online with populations MUCH higher than socom which at its peak was only about 30,000-40,000 ppl...Halo 3 has that in one section OF a section . Outside MGS4 and GT5 nothing you mentioned will break barriers in the gaming world or do anything new, nothing you mentioned including MGS4 and GT5 was worth buying a Blue-Ray player for....

So enjoy your Racing game and your Stealth game and your Blue-Ray DVDs so you can watch "Cars" in UBER HD quality. I'd payed less for my system it has better customer support a better game library and i can look forward to more than 2 games to make my system worth while....

Please stop with the saving $200 shit. With online you pay just as much if not more. If you know anything about playstation it doesn't need to have the best FPS to sell look at PS2. It sold because it had the most verity of games. I guess Microsoft still hasn't learned tho seeing how all of there "good" games are FPS. Where did I compaire Socom to Cod? Considering Cod was always a WWII game till now, and socom is mondern TPS. They have no Farking resemblance. I am a pc gamer, I have a ps2, but havn't touched it since i finished ratchet and clank up your arsenal. The only incentive for buying a ps3 is rachet and clank atm (for me anyway) I dont really see a difference between regular dvd, and "hd" quality, so that's no reason either. Developers have said that the ps3 is harder to code for, so that's a point against it, and, their new 40GB package doesn't have backwards compatibility, which seems like a major issue, as there aren't many games worth playing for the ps3.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no halo fan, but the xbox 360 would be my choice if I wanted a console.
