I am farming but I hate to sit and rejuv or buy a bunch of pots when I don't even have my first fire level to give me a little more boost in my hit. It will take 5 hits to kill a turtle and 10 to kill a champion. If I had my first fire, it would be easier but if I level my fire up to get my first fire I will be at a 6 level gap and for now everything seems to say keep it at 9. I am grinding away and I am sure it will be more rewarding in the long run. Never-the-less I am not venturing across the river to face the yeoha or archers just yet nor will I got stone ghost it yet. Which of course with my level 17 blader is a breeze but I got to remember grind for levels = more fun later...

Thought I would post a little update.....moving along well - approaching Lvl 20 and pretty much fighting everything in Jangan. Although facing 5 black tigers , 2 or 3 regular tigers and a couple of champions can become kinda hairy. Anyway, the grinding and farming has gone quicker than I thought but that might be because I dropped to a 5 level gap from 10 - 16 and now back up to an 8.
Remember to make it fun when it is new and fresh to you and don't get bogged down in being rigid to the point you want to quit. This is suppose to be fun. Will it be as much fun at Level 65 if you haven't farmed as much as you needed back at levels 20-50.....that is a long way off for me and like I said "I am having fun now when it is a new game for me" I will let you know if 6-8 months if I am there (and still having fun I hope)

Ok.
But before I go, I'd like to say there is absolutely no point of making this guide, I'll make one just as good in 5 seconds:
Add all str when you level, no int.
max out glaive, soul depart series and ghost spear series (as well as 1st and 3rd books of fanning spear).
Max out all fire books except fire wall and nukes (though you can get lv 1 of all books for fun).
Get all light skills except nuke and lion shout (And get it to at least 55).
Get light to 60 for great defence. Max out passive and guard, and you can get frost nova for fun.
Get no force, bow, or blade.
Done. Took me like 37 seconds to type.

1. Why would you need the lightening imbue?
2. i suppose you mean cold to 60?

I read from some people in this topic that the imbue can stay at lvl 1. Others say max it to the rest of the mastery lvl. Which one is true? How much of a diff to lvl up the imbue? If imbue doesn't make a whole lot of difference anyways, so why max it to waste mp (and sp to lvl it up)? With the same logic, why fire instead of ice, again since the imbue doesn't increase damage by a whole lot anyways?
Does it makes sense to just max the force mastery (to get the force % attack bonus), but keep the imbue skill at just lvl 1 book 1?

imbue is going to be what you base your attack off of ..... it is where you get your power increase......and YES it can be substantial.....add that to the magical attack of your wep.......
Ex: phys attack on level 32 glav = 160-185
mag attack on same glav = 218 - 265
Just made up values for this example.
Okay -(1) lets attack a earth ghost champ - soul spear w/o imbue one hit 85% to kill now we take another hit for the kill (2) soul spear w/ imbue one hit kill with with damage to spare.....as you move up mobs it is going to be critical......pvp without imbue you just as well stay in the city walls
Fire is simply the imbue that dishes out the most damage and if you are pure str you are all about doing as much damage as you can on every hit especially your first one.
BTW I am pure str fire glaiver

I just made a str glavie, im lvl 30 and got fire 2X Heuskual 28 and light 22
I was wondering if this would be a good build or if it wouldnt work:
Heuskual-->80
Fire-------->80
Light------->60
Pacheon--->80
??
Just want to mix it up a little
Sure, it's a fun build, but don't waste time with dual weapons. 80 cap has been out for almost one year, so prepare for the 90 cap. You can do 3 masteries to 90 and one at 30. Two most common builds for 90 cap are 90 Heuk/fire/light 30 ice or 90 heuk/fire/ice 30 light. Good luck!
