90cap int build

Post by Trice »

for the 80 cap i planned 80 ice light bicheon, and 60 heuksal for the awesome hp passive

at 90 cap though, 90 bicheon ice light, and then 30 heuksal? less effective passive but hp nonetheless? fire for less effective buffs? force?

unsure /o\

90 bich ice light sounds good.
as for the lvl 30 mastery. i guess id go heuksal. although lvl 30 of anything really won't help much at lvl 90. but might as well get a couple hundred hp

If you've tested it then at least share your experience with it. You can do a simple experiment and check how much damage you receive with or without the buff, give us some idea for comparison.

The reason players drop fire for more Hp is for the "versatility" in terms of defense. More Hp is always a good thing, fire only raises the mag def. At times, because of the high phy damage from rogues, even ice 80 for the mighty ice shield isnt enough to tank the incredible phy damage alone. Having the extra hp always helps. In light of this, snow shield is also a great skill. For the 2 mins in which it lasts, you get absolute damage reduction (of mag and phy damage). If you max it, thats 50% absolute damage reduction for everything that hits you. This is much better than max mag defense buff you get from fire.
(dont forget equipment choices, some players including myself have more than one armor set type).

The upside to taking heuksal for only passive, you can use some of the heuksal skills now at this cap, but only if you take it to lvl 63 (third book ghost spear is useful) and go dual wpn should you wish to do so. It is a comparitively cheaper (albeit longer way) to gain hp (from sp).

Downside to shafting fire for heuksal, at higher caps you will have to delevel heuksal, as the passives just dont cut it anymore. No one will say, "wish I had that extra 200 or so Hp, I couldve survived that hit...".
Lvl 30 heuksal for 90 cap is useless. So thats a lot of curst hearts you are going to need. Lvl 30 fire will still be useful, you can still be immune to cold effects, and you can play with fire wall which is still useful even the first book of it.

If you have the money or the gold, then the optimal path right now (for a pure int or a int heavy hybrid s/s) is to take heuksal passive up to lvl6 (or more), then switch to fire at 90 cap. Although, most players should start planning for 90 cap right now if they just started a pure int char.
