SP farming
SP farming
Sry, I already posted a topic about this, but I am still clueless. I am lvl 10 doing lvl 9 gap SP farming. I am at like 905 SP right now with 30% exp, but I have been doing this for like 3 hours or so. I heard ppl getting like 18k exp at lvl 16 in 3 hours. Question is, am I suppose to farm at this early lvl or should I wait until later? (Doing 90 Bicheon/90 Fire/55 Light/65 Cold)
(Also if you die, do u lose XP or XP+SP?)

Okay, Sp farming is very easy once you get the hang of it...
First off farming at Lv. 10 isn't the best idea. You should begin at Lv. 16, with a full 9 gap (7 levels between your highest mastery). Next, use a bow no matter what your build is and make sure to use Fire Imbue only, that's the best Imbue to use while farming. Another thing, level your first two skills for your bow, only up to Lv. 7 mind you. Now as for gear, use Garment, gives you speed and saves you alot of Mp.
After that, begin with your farming. Make sure you have a decent bow, go to the Archers and start there. I suggest that when you level, put all of you stat points in where ever you want to. Then when you hit Lv. 20, delevl back down to Lv. 16. You'll keep your stat points and have a much more powerful attack, so more of a chance to one shot those KSing tards.
On average when I use to farm, I would get at most 15k per 3 hours. But I had a damn good set, another thing you may want to look for.
As for your idea of you build... um, what exactly did you have in mind? Because looking at what you said, doesn't look like a good one imo.

Don't farm your first character. level up enjoy the game. If you farm at lvl 16 you wont even know what trading is.....
If you really like the game you can always farm at higher lvls to fix your character or whatever.
Just carry about a 4 gap. Once you lvl up you will figure out what is best for you.

I both agree and disagree.
Farming will always be necessary, however if it is your first char, you really won't wanna do it at level 16. You probably won't have enough for a good bow, and lvling with no skills is quite boring. What I do suggest, though, is level yourself to 21 or so (keep your masteries at 10) - in fact, anything above level 10 is alright for this - then begin merchanting somehow for money. I.E. buying for low and selling for high overnight. When you have enough, head over to the Southwest corner of Samarkand, just before the river, where the ongs are. Find one of the people just standing there, and ask them about their leader, and paying for a Plvl, then if you ever see the person who is fighting move back to them, begin to talk to them about it. You two can discuss a rate (something like 100k-200k an hour is standard), and you will get your SP farmed for you. The downside, as with all low lvl farming, is that you will have to delvl when you hit 24. It's also a good idea not to just straight go for the figher, as they are most likely botting, and afk. Additionally, you will probably get 1 shot by a stray ong if you do.

i agree with glavie 100%
farming at 16 made me wanna quit sro
i was getting nowhere
i couldnt get the skills i wanted so i couldnt have fun with what i had
it was boring
my bow sucked cause i didnt have enough money to buy a good one
I think you should definitely just lvl with a 4 gap and increase what you wanna and then if you start seeing what you wanna specialize in start farming immediately

this is the best suggestion. just lv up and experience different skills and weaps. also watch some vids of ppl with different builds and weaps. u want to explore everything.
after u make up ur mind on which build u should hav, then start over.
boyaka boyaka.
Ok you have obviously have read a lot and want to have a strong character. In this game there are 3 main to get a strong character, 1 is skills, 2 is gear, 3 is lvl.
Now lets talk about skills.
XP and SP(level experience and skill experience).
You gain xp and sp when you kill a monster. When you die you only loose xp and you keep your sp.
If your character lvl is the same lvl as your skills you have the most up to date strongest skills. That is called a 0 gap. If you are 0 gap you will be the "strongest you can be for that lvl".
If the game sees you have a 0 gap it assumes you have plenty of sp and reduces sp you get per kill for an increase in xp. This means you will level faster with a 0 gap.
If you start to run out of sp you will have to start pulling a gap. This increases sp gained per kill and lowers xp gained.
The largest effective gap you can have is 9, anything past that will give you the same xp to sp ratio.
When should I farm?
You farm when you have a weapon that will basically make up for your lack in skills. In other words a sos is a bare minimum.
You must have a monster that you can kill quickly and will respawn fast so you don't waste time running around. Ideally you need ranged attacks as well to reduce running.
Arguably the best place to sp farm is with a lvl16 sos or better bow in the bandit den. Great spawn rate and with the range of the bow you don't hardly have to move.
Then delvling bow skills when you are done is very easy.
You can farm at other lvls but depending on your build it may be less effective then at the den.
When you sp farm you actually have to kill more mobs then if you were gapping.
I recommend you don't farm because you won't have a clue what your character will be like until you reach your mid 30s (mid 40 for euro). There is no best build in this game, but!!! There is a best build for you. Skills can always be removed or added at any time, but your int and str points cannot. So there is no point spending. Months farming a character that you don't even know if you like.
Another reason to play a character even if you don't know if you will keep playing him. As you play you will gain money that will allow you to lvl your 2nd character 10 times faster.
BTW most people do not farm. You would be in the minority if you did.
Edit*
sorry for the crazy rant. I was kinda wandering every wear, but I might have given you some useful information.
