Open up your hosts file located at (main drive letter):\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc with notepad and insert the following line at the bottom:

#222.111.150.111 gwgt1.joymax.com

it worked for me anyway

Ok this happened to me yesterday, and someone posted how to fix it.You have to open your host file which is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. Open your hosts file with notepad and delete the portion at the bottom that says "222.111.150.111 gwgt1.joymax.com" and save. It worked for me and let me in right after. Let me know if it works for you

Sometimes this will happen if you have a firewall in front of your PC. Your firewall/router may have outbound connections blocked, thus you won't be able to establish a connection with Joymax servers.

Also some ISP's block ports, you should check with your ISP to see if they block ports.

Check you firewall. When I first started SRO I had this problem "also couldnt access silkroadonline.net) and it turned out is my firewall. Can't remember it's name but you should turn off firewall.
