"Wanted" status - what next?

Hi I got told that I should get the wanted status to get a thrill out of it. Well now I've got it and theres the little red "!" next to my name. hooray.

I also figured that I spawn my own NPC thieves w/o transport. but my question is : can EVERYONE see that I am wanted? because I have NEVER seen that on anyone else. or do only hunters see that?

and secondly what happens if a hunter kills me in wanted state? It says that I have to pay a penalty, but what does that mean, does that mean I have to pay gold or what? or do I lose a lot of XP? Just want to know how seriously I have to avoid them hunters.

And no, pls don't advise me to get rid of the wanted status either, I think I will keep it for a while and enjoy thieving at it's best/worst :p

if you don't get rid of the wanted status, any other player can easily kill you. Also, you can easily be seen by other players. Even when your name's color first turns purple. When hunters kill you, you lose exp. There are many forms of penalty, and one of them is that you can't attack a player who is trying to kill you because you are wanted.

If I were you, I would think twice...

There's also a higher chance that an item will drop from your inventory if you get killed in wanted status.

Ok ,I think the two people that answered just don't know about wanted status ^^
Its NOT like murderer status.

When you are Wanted, you name is still white, and ONLY Hunters can see that "!". But, they can kill you at any time, even if you don't wear your suit.

When you are wanted, you can use only the thief job. Your arrange points will drop regularly when you are connected (no need to do something special) but it takes time.

If you are killed as a Wanted by a hunter, you are "arrested". That means you can't equip any job till you haven't paid the penalty at Hunter's guild. Arrange points will be set to 0.
And after that, you can't equip any job for 3 hours.
There is a trick : if you don't remove you thief suit after you get arrested et pay the penalty, you can go thieving again without waiting :p

ok nice that is what I wanted to hear ^^ @Vintar. indeed I am not talking about murdering, been there , done that, not worth it.

So you have to pay cash to the hunters guild, how much is that typically? does that depend on something?

and what exactly happens if I get killed - does the hunter walk up to me and "arrests" me, and then I'm forced to pay the penalty? or will I just be told to go to the hunters guild an pay whenever I want to?

Well if my arrange points get reset to 0 after being arrested, I guess that's enough reason to avoid the hunters.

edit: oh an I forgot - if a hunter attacks me as wanted and I am not wearing my thief suit, can I kill him? or will I become a murderer for killing someone without wearing a job item?

edit2: I realised that I DO NOT spwan NPC thieves all around me, what gives? I just walked around wanted, and it made absolutely no difference, except that the hunters could kill me even without suit. so what? I didnt get arrested, and I dont have to pay a penalty. somehow I dont understand this system...

Forgot to say that you can't fight back if you're not wearing your suit, and that you can be killed but not arrested by Hunters if you don't wear it.

For the penalty I don't how much it is, it depends on your AP.
About npc spawn... there is no such thing. You spawn only with a transport & goods inside

thats what im asking myself now. i just got pwned by a hunter because of lag, so now i had to pay 60k penalty and my arrange points are down to 0. so I guess theres abolutely NO advantage of being wanted. fine. next time i get close to 3000 ap i will just go levelling

could someone explain to me about the arrange points? i was thinking about going thieving at once i hit lvl 40 but im starting to think twice now
