any school who uses a good website blocker has blocks on proxy sits too...but its not like using proxies to get around this stuff is unheard of...

Sounds like my gf when she figured out she could go on myspace at school :roll: shes not exactly computer literate in some terms...nor am i that much when it comes to software. Hardwares my thing

lol, you know, if you really get desperate to evade the filters you could just set up your computer so you can remoteley access it and then connect to it from your school/college/uni/whatever.

any good school IT person will know to block RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) packets too - as long as they have a firewall with stateful inspection.

Oh, and VNC too, but then again, most PC's won't have admin rights so you can even install some sort of VNC software.

Rootkits are your best bet for circumventing that kind of thing, but good luck with that.

remote desktop aint blocked in my college, some people need to have it for something. And the IT technicians in our college aint "good" anyway, they are idiots, lol. And im not exagurating or anything, they really are dumb.

My school addedsomething that blocks nayw ebsite with the words "proxy,prox,block,unblock,bypass,filter,etc,etc. We cant even use ebuddy.com...

I just host proxies on my own webservers, and when needed i use them, at first glance, it's a phpnuke website, but dig deeper, and there you go :roll:

lol i did TightVnc Server on my pc and ran my schools RealVNC viewer that was already supplied (our school uses VNCviewers to watch us [even on the macs -_-])

They blocked it at ours, but I just send them over 443, no way they're gonna block that :roll:

Those viewers shouldn't be installed on student accessible computers. They should just be available on administrative systems... or at least only executable by admins. Shame on them! :-P
