its of cource hard when u lose somebody close, maybe a parent? or just close friend, having no clue what is really gonna happen afterwards , makes you at least HOPE so he gets to a better place, and wont suffer , as stated in those satan stories...
you never gonna feel it until u really lose somebody, but when u do, u start blaming ur self that u could prevent this and thinking of how much time u wasted toward computer but not with the actual person... you will be praying for your lost one believe me, unless u r some real ignorant and noncaring about anything happening on the planet...

Well to me if someone dies .. they die. Of course I will mourn a loved one, but I won't sit at home and be like: Oh **** hes going to hell.

Nah I won't even think about what's next. Why ? I mean ..... not as if some 'ghost' / 'spirit' is going to tell us all the 'big secret' are they?

when a person dies there gone, they wouldn't linger to tell us any universal sercrets. Onces you died you shouldn't have any reason to linger anymore. And as in god, I for one do believe that there is atleast a god out there, and he's/ she's probaly really pissed off by our kind.

Srsly you really think some horned creature sits underground in a place called hell. Burning people for all eternity if you sin?

LOL.

no he's not a made up figure, i think he actually exists.

But i don't believe in a horned creature thats sits underground in a place called hell, where he burns people for all eternity i they sin. This was just made up by some people and now its like THE image of satan, but that's not true at all.

But i think we actually do have some kind of creature that is responsible for all the bad things, like God ( in my case Allah ) is responsible for all the good things.

First, the term "Satan" comes from ancient Hebrew dialects whcih mean "the adversary" or "the accuser". So, pre-biblical times, these were words used in everyday language. The images of serpents and goats used to signify satan were taken from other pre-biblical belief systems, namely Paganism (as were many other tennants found in the Judeo-Christian faiths).

In modern day Satanism, as practiced by those belonging to the Church of Satan, the idea of Satan as being some sort of actual entity - a little guy with a pitchfor, a fallen angel, etc - is bogus. Satan is a god, yes, but not in the traditional sense. Satan represents self. You are the only true god, you are Satan. The only real thing worth "worshipping" is yourself, as you are the most important person in the world. Thefore, Satan is you, and you are Satan. it represents a belief in oneself and the shunning of "white magic" faiths such as Christianity which instill fear into people and commit more acts of attrocity than Satanism ever has. Also, Satanism promotes the fulfillment of one's natural, human desires, so long as they do not hurt others. This is something christianity, islam, judaism and others do not allow for.

So, do I believe in and love Satan? Yes, as I am Satan and I believe and love myself :)

Yea on one side of the story... but you have theocratic satanists who believe Satan is a living entity, somewhere among us lol. The problem is every one of them think they're gonna become the Antichrist...

Everything I know about Satanism I learned from the History Channel (lol). And according to them, it's supposed to be like embracing one's humanity. Which would mean regarding sin as natural behavior and stuff like that. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to draw pentagrams in blood and light red candles and chant "hail Satan" for hours on end.

But I don't love Satan myself. I have no reason to, and he/it doesn't exist.

I agree with your above statement about the rituals. Many of the LeVay Satanists do these things because they (and LeVay did as well) believe that rituals are necessary components of religion, as a means of expressing one's self. The also perform ceremonies where they "curse" or "perform magic" against an enemy, which really just means that they wish harm to happen, in some form that they determine, to those who have harmed/wronged them. It's kinda silly, but as they say "If a man smite thee on one cheek, smash him on the other!" Let no wrong go unredressed

and, I agree with that to some degree

I don't see why Satan is such a bad "thing"... Think:

1- He tortures the ones who were bad (good thing)
2- He doesn't tell people to do bad things... People do bad things because they think they are doing Satan favours...
3- Terrorist worship Alah or something like that... Not Satan...

Conclusion: No real proof that Satan is bad.

c'mon guys...do you really believe that crap about a talking snake in a tree making people eat an apple? This is just male dominance at work. of course the one who gave in to temptation was a woman....since that point on, women have been viewed to be lesser humans than men...and I'm a man, so I know I'm right :)

no I don't belive in Satan. Like God he's just a made up person that was made up 2000 years ago when the world was in a state of bliss ignorance. Eventually satan and god and whoever will fade away to be replaced with a new god or gods and some new evil dude or evil dudes. It always happens like that so i don't expect the Christian/Islam/Jewish/w/e religion to last more than 3000 more years. History always repeats itself.

Going OT a bit more...firstly, no I don't love Satan, nor the concept of myself as a being worthy of worship.

To those who say Satan or the concept of Satan existed prior to the Bible being written - could you post a link or back it up? I'm curious.

I note that from what I can tell in Islamic circles, Iblis (Shaitan) was an "angel" or Jinn and was cast down because he refused to bow down to the newly-created humans, Adam and Eve(Hawwa).

(please excuse me if I have incorrectly spelled any of the names, I'm just going on what Google found.)
If faith is a crutch, I'm not limping anymore.

????, a religion is ment to believe in. It has no proof, it's either you believe in something or not. That's the main reason between science and religion.
