Adding Seal Of .... on Weapons -Lazy man's guide.

I tried again today and did everything as you said in your guide. I tried to add Sosun on my Daggers but now i get an Error in the Char Selection Screen and the game crashes. i realy dont know what i did wrong.. i read your guide few times to find my mistake but without success.

Here is what i did : (tried to change a lvl 26 dagger (second one of 4th degree) to sosun)
- i searched for the textstring "raretype" (down from begin)
- i searched for "ITEM_EU_DAGGER_04_C_RARE" (down from cursor)
- changed the string to ITEM_EU_DAGGER_04_B , deleted the _RARE and added 5 00 hexstrings right after the _B
- scrolled to the top of the file and set my cursor there
- searched for "item\etc\drop_ch_money_small.bsr" (down from begin)
- searched for the hexstring "FF FE 31" (up from cursor)
- searched for "ITEM_EU_DAGGER_04_B" (down from cursor)
- searched for "180000" (down from cursor)
- changed 180000 1 0 to 180000 1 2

now the game crashes... any idea what i did wrong?

Edit: i just read your guide again and maybe i found the reason XD
maybe i have to search for "item\etc\drop_eu_money_small.bsr" instead of "item\etc\drop_ch_money_small.bsr" ?
i cant try now because its to hard to login but i will do tonight XD

hmm..I wouldnt know honestly but it could be cuz of the EU/CH diff

Also, the C, B, A thingy.. you lost me there, is it A for like lvl 42 weapon, B for lvl 45 one and C for lvl 48 one or is that the seal? Because

Now this is where you will differ, say you have a lvl 52 bow I will change the ITEM_CH_BOW_07_C_RARE into ITEM_CH_BOW_07_A , if I had a 56 bow it would be ITEM_CH_BOW_07_B etc etc.
Just simply change the letter, after that you have to delete the _RARE as show in the screenshot here under.

Hmm those spaces seem to be fine, it's just your comp shows it differently.

Also

A= 1st tier aka 42
B= 2nd tier aka 45
C= 3rd tier aka 48

_RARE adds the SoX.

looking in itemrare.txt 2day and noticed some
RARE_HONORS
i guess this is seal of honor or honor items

honor items only apply to 8D + and i was wondering...

cuz i got a 6D blade sos...

could i change a 8D blade sosun honor glow to say 06_A_RARE

and change the 6D_A_RARE to 08_C_RARE

has ny1 done this and if so... did it work

i dunno if u can change glows from 08 to 06 :S can sum1 help

just change your blade looks to 8D..and the glow to 6D sun and it will work...with honor, dunno

i definatly sure u can say.... switch sos-sosun (as ive just done this)
then find replace the blade to 8D and it will be 8D sun

or.... i think u can....

but for example i can do it
i can made it when i changed sos blade 16 to sosun blade 16
but when i want to change lvl 1 bow normal to sun i cant :S

yes, it does work on official servers
code for sun staff is ITEM_EU_TSTAFF_05_C_RARE
you can find links for programs used in this tut in a sticky or just google their names. most of them are freeware

I serched but got nothing, I have a question, I know that honor seal is only for degree 8 and 9 but, can you edit so that you do it to a degree 4 glaive? or anything else?

The only step I cannot get this to work is the last step where you add the "2" to the 5th "0" of 180000 since I have it as 180000101. So I really have no idea on what to do with this... tried adding it to the 4th 0 (180002) and it work but no glow. weird -,-

I did everything exactly as you said, and I understand everything, also with the changing C to A or B.
But when I start the game I get no glow on my weapon, it just looks the same. :/

I managed to get the sosun look, but I was wondering how I could get the honor look? I followed this tutorial and changed the honor codes instead of sox codes, but what number do I have to type after 180000?

0 - chinese, 1 - euro

well i got a question, since this is client side editing, so you can only see it. Well can pk2 editing result in getting banned from sro? there aren't any advantages of this to exploit. so.. can someone answer me? sry is i double posted.

Nics guide it's work at first try i got all my gears & weapons glow + and sun glow it's really kool i give 5/5

but i don't use it

i replace back with the original file

bcoz my game crash all the time when ever i telepot or return

the whole town with the same type and degree of weapon have the same glow every 1 with sun man my PC can't take it and then
