Crysis PC Demo release

shouldn't the Crysis PC demo be released today ( 10-26-07 ) ?

I can't find it anywhere, someone knows more about it, please send me a pm

was supposed to be relesed for people who pre-ordered via EA store yesterday and released for everyone today (well, thats what people assumed when they said it would be released for EVERYONE on the 26th). Then at around midday (gmt) today they decided to tell everyone that the pre ordered version is today and the one for everyone is tomorrow...

Played. As far as I can tell this is a must have game. Love the feel of far cry nostalgia in it too.
Couple weeks left.

woo, looks amazing. I can run everything (except AA) on very high and it looks f'in amazing although my fps is like 15 in open areas and lower in jungle/forest areas. I turned shadows and shaders down to high and that gave me a nice fps boost, dosnt really look any less amazing either. A new cpu should give me a nice boost too.

Everything on low @ 800x600 resolution but it was worth the download.
If cod4 sucks I sure consider buying this game. :>

The only thing I think they could've done better is to put more weapons in the demo.

Ugh.

Game looks amazing but plays exactly like FarCry. The only perks are your "powers" that aren't that practical in a firefight since if you get hit, bye bye power. Some things are nice, like cloak, but move and it drains like mad. Also the guns felt like high-powered BB guns. Not really impressed as far as innovation, but it does look awesome like I said. At least you can still scrape by playing it like a typical shooter.

I'll be uninstalling this demo after writing though. I basically got fed up with the game after disabling that GPS receiver thing. Shouldn't have to pump a guy with two 30 round magazines to get him to die. That and the extreme disappointment of the powers you get which are a lot less awesome than the videos suggest.

I share your displeasure with the invincible enemies but I'm sure the powers come more into play later on.

The video's just so misleading.

I used speed once. It lasted like 1 second.

Max. Armor, I'm not sure. I tried using it but I think I was too busy being shot at. Which basically kills any chance for you using any of the powers since getting shot drains your energy/armor.

And cloak disappointed me the most. You can't shoot, it turns off. You can't move, it drains out mega fast. So I guess the only practical use for it is if you were sneaking normally and suddenly need to be totally invisible if someone spotted you.
