Hybrid Stat Concerns

Post by ragnabot »

Up until now, I still have no clue whether to go hybrid or pure str. I'm 2x and mastering spear skills and fire. Here's my real question...

Are imbues effectiveness increased by INT? I've been thinking, if INT also increases the damage bonus imbues give, then being hybrid would really increase my damage output.

I have both STR and INT at 60+ now and it's been great. I trashed my old pure INT nuker because it's just not my play style. He dies alot when mobbed. Just now, I'm worried that my final build won't go as I hoped because I'm pumping the wrong stat. Just want to clarify this matter.

As an INT favoring hybrid you WILL do more damage than a pure str, but less than a pure int. You won't nuke or tank as well as any pure , but if you play smart then you can do pretty well as a hybrid.
on second thoughts, just read suicide girls guild

I already did, although my I couldn't find the answer to my question there. I just figured if I knew the answer to it, Does INT increase imbue damage, then I'll have an easier time planning my final build.

YES, so pure sstr should take some int to get higher mag balance or imbue are like useless.

i made a new pure str glaiver, and at lvl 27 the imbues only tack on an 75-175 damage, i might kick in a few extra int, or get a bunch of + int gear

DON"T
if you are pure str and you add int, then your attack will go down.
Yes, you imbue may do a bit more, but your physical damage will fall so over all you lose out >.>

just simply try to maintain that 90% balance on either str or int. you could even go for a 85% and then buy eq blue favoring your build, either way it gives you a slight more HP to tank a bit more or MP to increase imbue damage and ofcourse save some mana pots.

therefore a hybrid build could be considered bad motherf*ckers like Jules would say, but the best ofcourse would be a strong INT based hybrid ;) will be writing an article on a int based hybrid spear fire once i hit level 48 and pharmed enough to max all necessary skills at that level
