Sure humans have a genetic preference to sweet and fat and they decline bitter.
The declination of bitter food comes from the fact that poisonous plants tend to be bitter and due to evolution we learn that bitter = poisonous.
Yet we can learn to eat it and even like it.
Just to show you that genetic predisposition isn't everything.
But you don't have to eat unhealthy things stuffed with fat and sugar.
You can try to eat healthy things that contain sugar and fats like fruit or nuts.
Your body needs it, but when taken with excess you'll get fat and you'll die.
Final conclusion.
People eat/drink/smoke/.... bad things, some with or without a genetic predisposition, of which they know it's bad for them.
