Rogue sub= Cleric or bard?

Which should I use as my sub for dagger rogue? Cleric or bard? Or something else? Let me know what you think!

I recommend you using a bard.

Resons
You can Run faster and give buffs that will help you kill faster...and buffs other in party

Dont get Cleric i think its a back up skill good only for Full int Wizz..or Str Warriors otherwise I would suggest you not wasting your itme with Cleric stick to Rouge xBow and Bard your best build........Offtopic Warrior and Cleric would be pretty bad a$$ too.. or Rouge xbow warrior

Rogues need cleric...in order for rogues to deal damage they need to use buffs (Dagger Desperate and Crossbow Xtreme) which weaken them significantly so you need the defense buffs from cleric (ex. Bless spell) to save you.

but then you're require to have the cleric's equipments on... and when you switch either one of the buff (xtreme bow or blessing) will be gone.

Not Bless Spell which is really the most important one.

Bards don't have buffs that will help you kill faster, unless you consider Moving March Such a buff, and a xbow rogue will barely need to move much to get enemies if they use the +15m range attacks to draw them in.

Anyway, slight flaming comments aside, there really isn't a topic that hasn't been covered in the history of SRF. It's people like me who give people like you topics to comment in. All I'm asking for is your experienced advice.

(Don't ban me for kinda flaming, Mr. Nice Mod and Admin, please. Everything said from me was in good humor.)

Anyway, I've decided to go sub Bard with my rogue. Those increased movement skillz will come in handy when I need to get up in the enemies face pronto.

Cleric!

You can get speed from a other from a full support class to run faster. It is a waste to get a tree for speed only. Cleric is stronger

For speed, and also our guild doesn't have a bard yet. I already put 9 lvls on bard anyway. :oops:

I don't know too much about bard or cleric. I just want to know the best sub so when I get to lvl 40+ I don't want to realize I've screwed my char up.
I'd start a new char but I already have a squirrel and premium.

A rogue should focus on killing the enemy quickly, so a rogue should be offensive not defensive? So offensive skillz would be best. What skillz stick when I switch from bard/cleric to rogue daggers?

Imo Rogue/Bard are good solo chars !
Noise will make you Rogue life safety and with moving march you can run faster from mob to mob since you use daggers !
I have a Rogue/Bard myself and im satisfied.. wont make sense for me to go cleric for healing myself during a match o.O
If 6 mobs are knocking on you... do you think you can save your @ss through healing ? löl

NP, Rogue/Bard is a good choice imo since you want to solo a lot !
So you wont go down against aggressive Mobs since euro has 15sec Pot-delay.
Noise + Moving March is very usefull

......If you were using a crossbow rogue you would know that they can solo party and giants without even having a subclass.

I personally had many /bard and /cleric test characters and /cleric chars > /bard chars after lvl 24 with just having bless spell. But whatever, it's your choice to waste your subclass on a tree that will offer you more speed and protection from agro mobs. Noise is obsolete in PvP, but if you like to solo so much make your /bard characters. Bards are really not great as a subclass, they are much better as a buffer/damage dealer in parties.

Don't cry later because you followed Jadekiss' advice when you see him getting manhandled without bless spell, self healing and complete immunity, just running around with his daggers trying to get to his target while everyone else just uses their wind drugs or gets buffed by an actual bard.

IMO Cleric isnt really usefull its better to have a Clericer in Party more than be Subclass as a Cleric !

If it's 1v1, having a cleric in the party or for that matter a bard in the party will not really help you, but using the drug of typhoon together with bless spell and poison immunity and self healing will.

rogue/cleric are so bad in pvp and single job wars...the only reason you would choose cleric as sub is to res, buff, and maybe heal ppl in party. if you are a rogue/cleric you will easily get into exp auto parties.

eventually at high lvls...there will be less and less exp auto parties.

self-healing cost too much time and you'll get hit still, when you can use the time to run away with moving arch lol

i'm rogue/bard on the other hand.

-i gain 60-70% per day with gt and skill ticket (lvl 56 atm)
-bard requires less sp
-can easily outrun ppl in pvp and jobs

Mean while i have

-Plus Physical Defensive Strength by 408, Magical Defensive Strength by 653
- Recover 1012+544 HP per Second.

Basically i own in PvP and Job wars. I'd like to see a Rogue Dagger/bard take down a 5 man trade party....all of a sudden that movement speed doesn't seem to special.

Besides if i wanted movement speed i'd just buy a potion....so thats a waste of SP imo

so not only will i be able to catch up to you but once i do it'll basically be like fighting a Rogue with autopot...in other words you'd lose the game :twisted:

Basically, from what I've been learning, Silkroad is a game of choice.
Bard or cleric, it's all a matter of opinion. One guy might beat another guy just because of equipment.

I may be Rogue/bard and you rogue/cleric, and we meet on different job leagues. I'm faster, you don't have speed drugs and I snipe you and kill you.
It's all about chance and opinion...

*Disclaimer* I'm not saying that every build's a good build. A full int warrior with rogue as sub might not be a good choice of a build, for example...

thats as much defense as an 80 chinese, if not more.

imagine rogue dagger with that much defense, and recovery division healing you 1.2k hp every 5 seconds.

= pwnage, but i dont want anyone but me to pwn, so i suggest you go bard.

moving speed ftw.. ?

). I think the majority of characters on Naruto are idiots, but Ninjas are ballin so I watch the show sometimes...

In important events rogue/clerics can just buy typhoon potions....or if they are rich, all the time during PvP....Then again, you didn't see anyone run away after getting ambushed/sniped. With range long enough to attack your target shortly after they are in visible range running is hard.
