There was just a thread in GD a poll about whether you botted or not about 4-5 pages i think....not locked, not cleaned, no warning just gone. I think that about 90% of the people saying they want to be mod don't realise that it's hard work and really really time consuming.. Having to deal with all these 'noobs' isn't a pleasure.. It's something you do for this community and you do it for free.. Don't think off it too lightly <_< it's not easy..

Especially if someone starts a discussion with you and tries to make you look ridiculous.. Then you start arguing and that leads to a baaaad mod image.. This at times can be hard to resist..

I know all this because I was a GM on a wow private server (quite a succesful one) for quite some time.. (I also moderated the forums, which wasn't really a pleasure but we did it for the community) Well in the end I did get some money because there was money left over from the donations and the admin thought I was doing such a great job he gave me 50 bucks (euros) I said I didn't needed it though still got them on my bank account

we are discussing everything that goes on on the forum daily, that includes
thinkin about if we need more mods or not.

ok, now thats outta the way..
a lot of mods are inactive, which makes a bit of sense.. cause their inactiveness
made it necessary to go n make new mods.
most of the inactive mods used to be as active as us new mod team, but are
too busy with RL atm, or started a new game.. or whatever.. somethin else.
we could take away their mod status, but there is no need for that since they
off the forum, are in a mod team (wich means they can be trusted.. <_<) and
if they wish to come back to the forum, they can take their mod place n start
modding again.

so, in this little post i explained
a) why there is inactive mods
b) why there is inactive mods (a bit more detailed yes)
c) that we dont need extra mods atm
