New Pure Int s/s

So after losing what is know as a real life for 3 months, I have finally hit lvl 77. I have 3 levels ( weeks ) to go to level 80.

Now Im hearing things about pure ints being "piss weak" on pvp. But.. I have almost 7k health and 17k mana! How can this be?

When I go out jobbing, I always run into random encounters with people my level. So, I turn on 40% mana shield, right? And I never, ever die from their first 2-5 attacks, whether it be a nuker, glaiver, and even rogues and warriors.. ( Wizards = instant death, but they dont matter, 1-2 lion shouts kill em )

So why do ints suck at pvp?

its jsut everybody whines @ mana shield let them whine if you know how to play your full int you manage quiete good

For a high lvl I am surprised you asked this. People get very uptight about thier builds, you will rarely find someone admit to being not the best. Its always "I pwned you!" When they killed you once out of 20 times, and only due to a few crits in a row, or zerk.

You have played your character from 1 to 77, you grew up with your build learned what was good, what is bad, and how to deal with other builds durning jobbing. Some people can't play other builds so they say they suck, or they kill a few bowers and suddenly all bow builds are bad.

People will be people, this game seems to favor me, myself, and I, even with the intro of euro its still that way.

So after that long rant, if you can get your trade to the other town, and or steal that caravan, and you are still alive that is all that matters. Screw what others think, for its you walking over thier dead bodies in the end. ^_^

I am just feeling insecure about my build.. I took a gamble when euro came out to stop fire and go ice, and I developed my own little combo of

Ice, Light, Sword, and 60 Spear. ( duo weapon sometmes )

Its just now ive been through so much, and I guess it's pre-lvl 80 jitters, I dont wanna hit my all time high and be laughed and mocked at in what I care about most, player versus player.

But your right, I do very well as a pure int. I can take hits hard, I know when to ghost away or when to use certain skills, and Ill just trust myself and do what I do best- inflict pain

I like my nuker lvl 79 :wink:

and when ever i use mana shield they start bitching about it...

they just want to kill me in 2-3 hits.. hell im not gona let any noob kill me just like that...

so to all those that complain about us int users putting mana shield to pvp or job war foff that what its for

if your str stop bitching about mana shield you got like 20khp

and int dont suck at pvp...

you just have to know how to play with it...
when i pvp i first nuke-chainlvl73 skill-kd-stab-phantom i phantom when they crit me or stun me and they keep telling me im a noob lol

im an int they are str im not gona tank them with nukes thats being a noob...

Teenage kid, 2 1/2 months of summer, GT/SP ticket + 7-12 hours per day of playing. + after that, found power levelers and joys of euro parties.

I'm pure int with all of my armor +5, full blued, and I can say that I almost never die to anyone without a sun weapon. Every now and then a lucky crit from a +7 glaive can take me down, but very rarely. I don't use mana shield in pvp either, only while jobbing.

Just take the time to pimp your gear and the bodies will fall.

D2 wasn't that hard, if i really wanted to i could get to 90 in one day, soj here, soj there, friend here, friend there, rush here, rush there
