omg a new member is voiceing his opinion on the game. lets call the blackfox mob and hang the poor guy.

blackfox is not the one flaming? learn to read. he was the 1st one to start up with his normal "Is bS! BlaBLa I aM A StuPid UniNteLigEnt BoT"

a debate about silkroad is not flaming. thats what the forum is made for. if you want happy kiddy world, check out kittybunny.com might be more carebare for you. the thread starter had some good points... oh nos, a thread about something other then euros being overpowered. lets lock it now!

Even though this sounds a bit like protecting the bots, don't take it that way. I hate bots, will always hate them and they ruin the game for me too.

I don't think you can really blame any of the bots (whether they are gold bots or player bots) for botting. Look at the simple numbers:

From looking at the messages and other whispers in the game, I saw that bot prices go something like $10-$20 for something like 200 hours (might be wrong about the number itself but my point is true). So that's about $1.5 for a day of botting. Botting supplies (maybe not all, but I suppose most do) with a full game experience while not sitting in front of your PC at all.

Against that, JoyMax offers the following: a 4-week Gold ticket which doubles your XP made in 3 hours, every day for a month. That costs 180 silk which is $18.

Now lets compare what you get on each.

3 hours per day for four weeks. That means: 84 hours of extra XP. That'll cost you $18.

On the bot, you get 200 hours of easy XP (since the gold ticket gives you XP you didn't earn, as if you killed 2x the mobs, it could be seen as the same in some form) for only $15 (average of $10-$20).

The gold botters are even more of a no-brainer, considering that they probably own the bot software - they sell 100M for $50. I bet they get those amounts in no time with the way I saw them grind at Bunwangs and have 0 costs. Why shouldn't they do it?! It's a brilliant business for them!

So generally, I blame JoyMax for not offering the same services for lower price. If JM offered gold for lower prices, people could still get their precious unfair gold (if there's a demand, there'll be a supply. nothing we can do about it) but we won't need to suffer from bots grinding it as they can generate it alone. Aside from that, they'll make some good money.

If they offered their Gold Tickets for prices that make it more worth than botting, people would most likely consider to use them instead.

Just my opinion though, don't know how much of it is just my own stupidity and what is rational.

premium ticket and squirrel is $25/month

24/7 botting for the same amount of time is about $24

Joymax will never do this because it will create even more economy inflation. It will make potential silk buyers get fed up at not being able to afford anything, and quit the game. That would then mean a lost a customer which = lost money.

All in all i don't like that idea personally.

If anyone is interested in another opinion...here it is.

Game can be botted = game not worth playing....its pretty much a waste of time effort and money on something that can be achieved easily...i say 65-70% of the addicted SRO players who are against botters would use a bot once they have the chance (friend gave them a clean bot...etc)...why?...simply because I should not spend effort on anything that other people arent spending even half of that effort on and getting better results than me....the word "legit" then wont mean anything...what will anyone possibly gain from the word "legit"? is it some sort of sugar that is only given to hardworking players not botters?...you will say community...botters do community...lots of botters participate in the SRO community just like anyone else...actually i'm pretty sure the forum has dozens of active botters that we dont know about...we could even have 1 or 2 botters posting in this very thread....they bot in the game...but they hate bots...but them hating bots doesnt mean they should stop doing it...cause lots of players are.

This game is officially ruined..the moment people came up with a way to cheat...just like any other game...so pay silk or bot...unless you feel like wasting 1-2 years of your life going all the way up only to find out that its not so special cause guess what...LOTS OF BOTTERS ALREADY BEAT YA TO IT.

Thats my opinion about this game.

well in a way fly is right need 2 argue about it and get it resolve but not in this forum this forum no matter how much is said no matter how much is cried nothing will happen .

Joymax is in it for the money legits will just be a 1 day care thing they do care about koreans thought b/c they can complain and asians are hardcore about gaming and if there not satisfied with the game they quit and go 2 the next one but yet 10000 stay pay joymax and cry which in the end doesnt change anything cuz the money still rolls in

You should see a botter IRL....they are some pretty satisfied people....i mean surely not as satisfied as legits but reaching the cap or a high level is very satisfactory i believe and once they do it they will forget all about not working for it...yes legits will feel more satisfaction but they will also feel bad that other people got to be there before them and by spending waaay less effort than them..which will soon kill the satisfaction...i know it will kill mine...maybe its just me but one of the worst things i hate in life that someone's cheat in a game (or pretty much anything) will give them more chances in being better in it than me....and in the case of this game...its like 99.9% that they will be better than me.

A gaming is playing games to have FUN.... if can't have FUN in that game.. just leave it...

If you can afford to pay $15 a month, I would suggest WoW....

As far as the suggestions for WoW... I'm downloading the game for the free 10 day trial. I've got over 2600 hours in Guild Wars across 6 characters. I think that's one of the most beautiful and highly polished games I've seen, but it just doesn't have the same hold on me it once did.

Too bad about SRO. I don't know which is worse... the cheaters who take advantage of the holes, or the company that allows the holes to exist. Either way, I believe there's a special hell waiting for them both... it's right next door to the one for telemarketers and people who take too many items through the express checkout lanes in grocery stores.
