"if your pc has a harddisk, its wise to install the game there. if your pc doesnt
have a harddisk, start the game from the disk."

game is called Kings Quest, from Sierra

I remember those games. I've had KQ1 through I think KQ6 at one time.

Check out AGD Interactive. They did a complete (free) remake of KQ1 and KQ2 in VGA mode. The story lines are about the same, but they have a few differences (and better graphics).
