first 3dsM signature

This is my first piece using any type of 3d render, not looking for just a 1-10 rating here but an objective critique, and Im not sensitive. Please be honest and keep subjective comments to yourself. The render and the photo are original, as well as the composition. I bring it here because I am impressed with a lot of the work I see coming out of this forum.

(the grey is to present a dropshadow on the forum it was designed for without using GIF or PNG8 transparency)

Wow, that looks awesome. In my opinion I think that would like nice in black and silver. It's really cool though, you should use that sig instead and replace your old ones.

I didnt use any custom brushes, everything I used is stock photoshop cs3.

only thing, some of the 'light' seem out of place, around ur render, imo they would look better as streaks rather than just... there

Get rid of the grey around it. Add a light source and Ill give it 10/10 atm its an 8/10

Agree with the above posters. Love the colors and render, but the fuzzy text just doesnt go along with the abstract render.
