hybrid or int s/s

Post by Mefra »

Hey guys, I'm building a s/s. I was planning to go full int with lightning/ice, but I realise that I also love to use the physical attacks. So perhaps a hybrid would be more my style.

But the real question is, what would be a nice build as a s/s at the 90 cap.

Oh yeah, which would be a good hybrid?

56% phys. 89% mag. naked
or
59% phys. 85% mag. naked

Well, since you'll be using S/S you're going to want to have more mag. attk since it's already lower than if you were to use spear.

56% phys. 89% mag. naked ~ Phy attk power doesn't make much difference even with the buff for pure ints or int heavy hybrids.

A nice pure int build by 90 cap would be something like 90 bich/heuk, 90 light, 90 cold, 30 fire. Pure ints don't benefit that much from the fire mastery tree. ^.^

Well, the nukes and the imbue would be nice as a pure int. Furthermore, the fire tree does have some buffs for only a shield, which would come in handy as a pure int. Last, but not least...I don't like the ice tree, but as a pure int, you're sort of pinned down to the ice tree, cause of the mana shield.

So I was wondering if lvl 2 of the mana shield would be enough. Offcourse not as a spear user, but as a s/s it seems reasonable to me. And be honest, what else is a int user gonna use from the ice tree? Those few points in phys. defense? Yeah, the ice wall (don't know the exact name) comes in handy, but at lvl 30 you already have it.

As a pure int, your going to NEED lvl 90 ice, or else just give up in pvp, or buy gold and get full sosun set, your choice. Pure ints die so unbelievably fast, ice shield lets them tank, but even at 90, they arent godly and die easy comparred to other builds. A hybrid build will both give you needed hp to survive with, some more phy dmg when using bicheon skills in pvp, and phy defense against pure strs.

Cold is a must for ints because of the large phy defense buff and passive, and because of snow shield, plus the nukes are enough to use effectively for grinding in combination with your lightning nukes, but i dont recommend pvping with ice nukes.

look at my sig for a hybrid s/s guide for some better info on this particular build

Hmm, I guess it's obvious that I'm planning for the 90 cap. For the 80 cap I know it works to get ice to 60 :banghead:

Hmm, watched some more vids from a pure int s/s (but they had fire, I don't have it). Totally awesome skills. Just gonna continue with that one for sure. Maybe I'm gonna start a 2nd euro character just for fun....Don't know which one.

Rogue/Cleric
Wizard/Cleric

Lol, this was the wrong topic ;-). Anyway, I decided to stay pure int till around lvl 60, that way I still got enough time to decide wether to go hybrid or not. And about the fire, well, as a hybrid I'm gonna use the fire, but otherwise it's just gonna be cold/lightning.

Which means that until around lvl 60 I'm probably gonna have these skills:

Bicheon 60
Lightning 60
Cold 30

That gives me all the options I want ;-) (btw, more votes would still be nice 8) )

With our current accessories we can get a max of 80% status resistence. the fire tree gives that last 20%. My question is does degree 9 accessories add up to 100%? at the current rate of 5% per degree it would be logcial to say it would, any confirmation on that? There arent many ice imbues now but if alot of people drop fire for ice more might show up.
My pride and joy CrazySuby is no longer mine. She is and always will belong to Dutchy.

Hmm, that's a nice theory...If so, having the cold tree instead of the fire tree wouldn't be of such a great advantage. :?

Which would mean that a pure int s/s 90/90/90 wouldn't be so bad (90 fire, 30 cold...)

Edit: oops, didn't read your message good. You mean you can get 80% from accesoires, while I thought you meant 80% from the fire tree 8)
